Fat Cat Cafe Bar

I think the best thing about Fat Cat Café Bar is their discounts for students.
I ordered the vegetarian full english, but the vegetarian sausages came all burnt. My friend really wanted to try the sausage, but since it was burnt to a crisp, neither he nor I got a chance to enjoy it. They also asked me how I like my eggs, to which I said over medium, to which they gave me three options: fried, scrambled, or poached. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t ask someone how they like their eggs unless you can actually take them up on their request.

It’s a great place to spend sometime with friends and take some drinks. They have a menu full of choices with great vegetarian dishes. The food is delicious and the service is ok.

Good food here, and the cocktails are delicious-​especially the cherryriba. Service often poor though when they are busy-​strangely if you sit upstairs the service is ok but downstairs its rubbish!

Great Burgers. Bit noisy sometimes though.

Not a bad place, just a bit dull and uninspired considering some of Nottingham’s other pubs.

Been here 5 times now and I can honestly say i’ve never had a bad meal. I’ve been to other restaurants nearby (iguanas, Sinatras, tonic) and Fat Cat in my opinion is much better. Fast and friendly service. There’s a lovely scottish girl who works in the restaurant upstairs and she’s always very friendly and makes us feel welcome. The bar downstairs is great for a beer or ten, but the restaurant upstairs is spacious and looks out over the city. Weather its 2 of you or 20, come here cos its great

A good combination of a smart modern bar downstairs and a relaxed dining experience upstairs in smart surroundings.
The bar itself is spacious and provides ample seating areas to grab a table with friends. Prices are standard for this type of bar in town and service has always been good.
Upstairs is where Fat Cats has delivered the best for me over recents times though. The food they serve is of good quality and the choice caters for several tastes. This also offers proper sized meals, the last time we were there a Mixed Grill arrived that was HUGE!!!
The service from the restaurant staff was excellent, with good attentive care provided but without being intrusive. I can genuinely recommend a meal here.
