Rather typical middle of the road JDW in the city centre of Nottingham. Decent layout, medium size, tiny outside seating area to the front, a beer garden to the rear, not unpleasant décor. Food’s 101 of course, but I can’t resist those Steak Club Tuesdays. 14 Oz rump steak with fries, peas and a grilled tomato for £ 8.85, really can’t complain. Although this time the meat quality was rather mixed, and it wasn’t quite cooked to order(medium rare, not rare). Fair number of real ales(£ 2.05), but the Lager selection is a bit limited(no Punk IPA, no Kronenbourg, and the Devil’s Backbone had run out). Service ranges from super friendly to zombie face monkey, depending on the individual waitress. Average for a Spoon, but certainly not one of the dingy ones.

A standard whetherspoons. Very large and open. Went for breakfast. Ingredients seemed better than usual. Food did take a while to come out but maybe it’s because it was done fresh.(Visit — 14/06/2015 Breakfast)
