Half toy store and half movie museum, The Monster Store is a must-​see if you are a movie buff. The shop does specialise in horror movies – some of the cool things I saw were a 14″ replica of Pinhead, Friday the 13^th lip balm and a giant blood-​spattered poster of Christian Bale in Psycho. The merch isn’t limited to horror though, there are all kinds of collectors toys and memorabilia for many different movies.
The coolest part of the shop is the mini-​museum in the back. Here you can see actual props used in many great (and not so great) movies. I saw Freddy Kreuger’s glove and Harry Potter’s Hogwarts letter. And from the not-​so-​great movie category: a pink shoe that Eddie Murphy wore in Norbit.
