Jacobs Chop House

I haven’t eaten as full meal in Jacob’s chop house for a while, but it has become a favourite drinks and snacks venue for my friends and I when I’m back seeing my mum. The décor is fab, exposed brickwork and old signs, with comfy bar and table seats (although I’m slightly miffed that my favourite table in the window is now a high bar! Jacob’s has a great drinks menu, and the cocktail list is extensive, including a fab espresso martini. On our last visit we also sampled the new fashioned (be prepared for a hangover, it’s strong) and the Apple and blackberry briotett which was delicious. The bar snacks are scrummy, stand out favourites being the honey and mustard sausages, and the chunky chips. A great place to spend a few hours putting the world to rights with my friends.
