This B&B is truly out in the country, reached by narrow winding lanes and signs pointing the way when you need them! Jen Patrick is the mistress of the house and her husband, Howard, operates the farm, featuring Charolais cows. The country house has a lot of acreage surrounding it and you hear nothing but birdsong from dawn to dusk. All rooms are on the first and second(second and third to US residents) floor and have windows that open and ample space and furnishings. I love the dressing tables in each of the B&Bs I stayed in since one cannot use a hair dryer in the bathrooms — only shaver outlets are located there. But outlets were plentiful and I used the tables for makeup as well. The B&B has a large living area and a dining room on the ground floor. Each morning a buffet of cereals, fruit, spreads and juices were set out. As with all the B&Bs in the UK, coffee is made in a French press and the tea is usually brewed in a pot. This couple were very friendly and generous. The kitchen, which is a private area, is where you will find one or both of the Patricks. Whenever I needed anything, they were available. We had fun discussions and I got to meet one of their sons, a jockey. They also offered to launder my clothes, which was a great help since my stay in the UK was long and I had been riding and walking/hiking. Jen gave me good restaurant recommendations nearby along the coast. In summary, a competitively priced, authentic and pleasant accommodation in the heart of Pembrokeshire.
