Not sure how many times I have walked by this place, but it’s on my list for a second visit. Classified as a pub, but should be classified as a Mediterranean restaurant as well. Restaurant is upstairs from the pub.
Pleasantly surprised by the décor. Good selection of Italian and Greek options. Our waitress was extremely nice and helped me make a tough decision on my main course. I had the veal escalope with tomato sauce and mozzarella. Was done quite well. My girlfriend had the tortellini and it was excellent.

Il Gusto is one of the best italian restaurants I have been to in the UK.
they serve authentic italian pasta that is cooked to perfection: ie al dente. I had the salmon pasta, with creamy sauce and salmon bits and it was as good as the one i ate at a famous restaurant in Italy.
the interior of the restaurant is also a plus point as it looks like an old cottage and the upper floor dining are is just really nice. They have an excellent selection of wine, and the waitress is very attentive, making sure that we are settled and enjoying our meal.
Highly recommended. It is also family and children friendly, so excellent for a family night out.
