Brilliant place, not sure what people find to moan about. Animals were lovely, all very clean & well looked after. 50p for food & we took carrots, which they preferred. Play area looked good value for money at £2, my little boy is too small at the mo. Café was very busy but we didn’t wait too long for food, sat outside in the sunshine. High chairs available. Lovely homemade soup & chips were delicious. Toilets were clean with an area for baby changing. Great day out, will be going back!

Not much to add to earlier posts. We had a great time, and could have spent longer there. we went Easter weekend, so it was packed, but the kids play area was big enough to handle around 100 kids without queues forming(not that kids queue anyway!). The café’s a bit basic(plain sarnies, bought-in pasties, chips with everything), and like nearly all«farm shops», it’s really a deli, with 95% of items bought in from around the world(ie Spanish celery). A lot of their branded stuff is made by these guys… but there’s a regular farmers market in Sandbach if you want reall local stuff.

We took my daughter for her third birthday this week, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone with children. Parking is free as is entry to the farm, and there’s plenty of space. You can take a picnic, or can eat in the lovely on site café. The massive children’s play area,(variable charge depending on the time of the year: it was £2 per child this week, but well worth it) is fantastic, something for children of all ages, and very well maintained. There was also a bouncy castle(50p for 5 mins) and go karts(no charge) for children to use. You can purchase animal feed from the shop(50p per bag) and can feed sheep, pigs, ponies and goats, in lovely spacious enclosures. Toilet and hand-washing facilities are excellent, always seemed to be kept nice and clean. You can shop till you drop in the very reasonably priced farm shop; fresh produce, local ice cream, gift ideas for everyone, flowers, plants and furniture for the garden plus a lot more. The whole family had a lovely day out(we even got the sunshine!!) and we will not hesitate to go back again; ten out of ten.

This is just the best place to live close to! And can I add that this is in Wheelock, Sandbach — not Crewe as the description suggests! At first you think it’s just a farm shop you know, fruit, veg, eggs. Well it is and its great but it’s so much more. They have a great gift shop that they’ve just extended, they have a huge outdoor area that sells plants in the summer, along with garden ornaments and furniture and sells Christmas trees in Nov, Dec. They have all kinds of farm animals which you can pet and feed and they have an amazing outdoor play area just a shame that at 28 years old I’m little to big to fit down the slide! The farm also has a newly extended eatery. Here the sell home cooked favourites, cakes and refreshments. And it’s lovely! Overall a great family friendly place. The kids love it.

Nice farm, with its own farm shop selling almost all home made or home ‘grown’ produce. The meat is particulary nice, although it feels alittle weird buying your sausages and then walking through to the petting far and looking at the piglets. Christmas is an excellent time for a visit as you can get a beautiful christmas tree as well as your turkey, and christmas veg! The home made arts and crafts bit would also make lovely presents, and would the a hamper of the local made produce, such as the cheeses which taste a thousand times better than any supermarket cheese.

brilliant afternoon out for the kids. There is a kids playground, and also a petting farm with goats, sheep and pigs, and at some time of the year calves. The shop sells all the farm produce as well as a collection of arts and crafts products that would make brilliant gifts. At xmas they have a large range of wreaths, christams trees mistletoe, holly and poinsettas, as well as seasonal veg boxes to make your christmas dinner taste a little nicer. There is parking on site with no time restrcition so you can take your time around the farm area and the shop. The on site made cheese is an item that can certainnly be recomended.
