Aubrey’s creperie is an adorable little café tucked away in the west arcade, opposite an awesome second hand book shop. The feel of the place is european yet homely, with mismatching chairs, bare brick walls, outside seating and cute traditional china for their delicious teas. On our most recent visit, I had a «zesty orange» crêpe — that’s caramelised banana in an orange and cardamom sauce, topped with mascapone cheese — and it was absolutely delicious. My partner had caramelised apples with cinnamon, sugar, crème fraîche and honey on her crêpe, and wouldn’t stop raving about it. They also do great savory crepes and the entries on the specials blackboard are always worth a try! Considering it’s a crêpe, and probably not a substitute for a meal, Aubrey’s is not inexpensive. It is, however, a delightful and delicious experience, and the staff are fantastic too.
