Lovely back street pub, came on a recommendation glad I did. Décor tiles, dark wood and leather. Two roomed located on a corner plot. Good selection of Thornbridge and guest ales. Very welcoming.

A lovely olde place, now owned by Thornbridge. As a fan of their beers I couldn’t not try their ‘Late Star’ celebrating a local paper. Very nice pint. Also from a decent choice of guest beers selected The Leveller from Springtime, which was a very decent beer, coffee flavoured. Has a lovely I’ve just popped back in time for a pint feel to it.

A well-run and welcoming tavern, with a large number of guest ales on regular rotation. The building has retained it’s historical feel over the years and inside the pub is very clean and tastefully decorated. On Mondays you wil often find live music on at the Bath, expect blues, swing, folk or rock, other nights of the week are occassionally themed such as the Thursday’s Jamaican food night. In the afternoons the Bath also serves good and reasonably priced food, though this is not it’s main selling point. A large selection of tasty tipples adorn the bar, incluing on draught; Moonshine ale, Frooli’s strawberry beer, Scheider lager and Bulmer’s cider. Bottled drinks also include Jamaican stout beer and Chimay. Overall an excellent and friendly place, perfect both for either an evening’s drinking or swift afternoon pint.

One of those places that gets good reviews just because it has a variety of ales and lagers but it is poor. No atmosphere, looks like a swimming baths. I do not understand or get what people see in this place. Don’t go.

The Bath Hotel is a classic back-street boozer. The pub is small but perfectly formed with a no-nonsense, Spartan tap room and a cosy, curved lounge. The pub has been has been treated sympathetically over the years and has been recognised with heritage status. There’s no juke box, big screen TV or pool table, but there is room for a dart board. There are always a couple of good real ales on hand pump and you can also enjoy ‘proper’ German lager. The landlord and staff are friendly enough but not overbearing. The Bath is a great spot for a quiet drink or a place to meet friends.

The Bath Hotel is a hidden gem just off West Street and is a great place to visit if you want to avoid the rowdy crowd that frequents the area on a night out. It is a traditional pub with two rooms around a central bar. They sell a good range of beers at a good price. The staff are friendly and there is a decent atmosphere. There is also a dartboard and regualr live music. The only downside is that it is quite a small pub so gets busy later on in the evening, but is well worth a visit if you are not a fan of the loud trendy bars on West Street.

Another cosy little traditional boozer. Good selection of ales. Friendly bar staff. Regularly hosts live music. Hidden at the top of West Street out the sight of the masses which helps make it a little treasure on a night when you don’t wanna be surrounded by herds of drunken brawling louts.
