Okay, so I love pizza, pasta and all things Italian, so when I happened upon a 2 for 1 deal at Pizza Express, my taste buds nearly jumped out of my mouth — great food for two of us and on a budget, I could not resist. So, me, my mum and my sister decided to go to pizza express on a saturday afternoon about three weeks ago. Having been before, I was expectant of great food in quick time(hence the name express) However, being January we were feeling lets say a bit bloated and decided to opt for the salad. All we ordered were three salads, three, not three hundred. We waited, waited and waited a little more, an hour passed and finally we received our three salads without so much of an apology for waiting what seemed like a lifetime. I have to admit, the salad was scrumptious, but, to be honest I would have probably enjoyed a ham sandwich after waiting that long. My advise would be this, the food is good, but the service not so quick. Don’t be fooled by the word express in the name, go on a full stomach and by the time it arrives you might just be hungry!

This is quite a nice Pizza Express on the mezzanine level of the food court in the Westfield shopping area. We were seated in the bit outside of the restaurant, it did feel like it was quite open for everyone to look at, but it was fine. The service was good, and when my pizza come with something on it that I had asked not to have the waiter went and got the bit of paper he had written on to prove it wasn’t his fault it was the kitchens! Which was a little over the top, but was ok. We were using one of the 2 for 1 vouchers which made it very reasonable, approx £15 with soft drinks and olives and 2 pizzas.
