Went here after Philpotts was closed on a Sunday. We got the milkshake, full english, toastie, and panini. I had the full english and it was good, but at a fiver I wouldn’t say it was expensive nor would I say cheap like the other reviewer. The toasties and sandwiches didnt look as appetizing though, so at 4.50 I’m glad I got the full english for a fiver. The milkshake wasnt amazing. Not very thick nor have that homemade taste to it. In the end, though it did the job, and the fact they take cards is a nice plus.

The Bear Steps café, is a very unusal locstion, it is located in a the medieval part of the town centre, near to St Alkmunds church and The Prince Rupert Hotel. The café serves the tradational café items such as coffee, cakes and light lunches. The prices are excellent, and the food is of the highest standard. I would highly recommend a visit.
