As people have said its not cheap but for some reason Chinese isn’t that cheap. I usually go for Kung po chicken or beef a good size portion. The king prawn sweet & sour is good as well not to much batter. The best Chinese in the area for me but would always prefer to go to Chinese quarter.

In an attempt to spread my wings a little I recently tried somewhere new for a Chinese/Cantonese takeaway. Having a tempting menu online encourage me to try this place and ring through an order to be collected. I always think Chinese is a bit more expensive that other takeaways, especially Indian in Brum, but this place seemed pricey beyond that. I ordered a won ton soup which was excellent but over a pound more than other places. The spring rolls were also excellent with a lovely mix of filling including huge prawns and Chinese pork. However, it was the main dish of sweet and sour chicken that really let the meal down. The meat was quite dry, there wasn’t enough sauce and what there was wasn’t tasty enough. Overall the food, including rice, was over £13. The place was very busy though so lots of people must love the food and be returning customers. The food was also prepared very quickly and ready when I arrived.
