This newsagents and sub-post office is known in our household as the posh post office. The reason for this is that it carries a wide range of papers and magazines, far more than most normal newsagents, meaning that you can avoid going into Solihull if you just want to stock up on a wet day’s reading material for the sofa. The shop also carries a range of greetings cards, wrapping paper, stationery, sweets, drinks and sundry other items. The shop staff are absolutely lovely: always helpful and a real asset to the place. There is a sub-post office counter to the rear of this shop. It can get very busy in the mornings, so expect to queue for a little while(you can choose your greetings cards while you queue). I have on more than one occasion had to insist that large letters are checked against the measure, rather than be charged twice as much for a packet. It’s always worth visiting just after Easter, or indeed any holiday where chocolate is involved, as you can pick up their surplus stock for pennies.
