Colours Restaurant

This is a training restaurant, the staff are friendly and welcoming, great place to eat, food is amazing and sevice top quality. I am training here at the moment and am loving every minute. Staff are brillant and fully supportive. Why not come along bring your friends and family you won’t be disappointed. X

Adjacent to Beechams Tower, on the St. Helens College campus, you will find Taste Liverpool accredited — Colours Restaurant. Inside the restaurant is neatly set out with a contemporary modern feel. The menu is awesome, very adventurous and their dessert list certainly passes my criteria. D E L I C I O U S!
Emma-​Louise has filled you in on the detail on why the food AND prices are so great, so I won’t go into that. What they also do — but I don’t think they do enough — is the themed nights, running from Nov to June and including an italian evening, burns night, valentines, mother’s day, 70’s evening, greek evening, chinese evening and father’s day. Oh let there be more!

Colours is a restaurant with a difference, and it’s certainly one which shows its true, er, colours, rather than offering a misleading façade. Situated in St Helens, it’s a gem of a spot with excellent service, polite and attentive staff, superb fresh and skilled cuisine and comfort for everyone, whether you’re a large group, a family or a tiny little couple. Its regularly changing menu keeps life interesting for the workers and customers alike, but why, pray, at this quality, is it so darn cheap?
The answer’s simple. A lot of what you’re being fed comes from learners. Yep, some of the catering students from St Helens College actually conduct their training here. You shouldn’t at all let that change your opinion of the place. Each and every kid here will be putting 110% effort into their dishes and have the enthusiasm of youth on their side, and you can certainly taste the pizzazz. It’s a new and unusual option as not often does one get to taste the results of a good education but I can highly recommend it, and those that love the restaurant have trusted it for years.

This is the college restaurant, although from the look of the place you wouldn’t know, it fronts onto the street and has a very professional feel.
We went for the early doors menu and hence there wasn’t that much of an atmosphere at that time, but hey it was cheaper!
Considering it is the training restaurant you’d think it would be cheap, but it’s not, although the food is definitely restaurant quality so perhaps they feel they can charge the same.
The staff where very attentive and friendly and the food was really good.

This restaurant is where some of the students from St Helens College do their training. But don’t let this put you off; it is a great restaurant with a wide ranging menu that is good value for money. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is always friendly and quick.
