As part of my constant slip into middle age and beyond(shout out to Michael B for letting me know this was happening…) I have been spending far too much time hanging out at at retail parks(and not getting ready to boyrace I can tell you…) On this occasion we were after some storage boxes we’d seen online and wanted to see what they’d look like in the flesh — basically not what we were after at all and just generally looked a bit cheap and shabbily made. If the truth be known, this was kind of my impression of the whole place after looking through multi-departments. Basically everything looks like it’s wipe down, faux materials are used and although you can see they’re trying to make things look like they’re authentic and individual — it all just looks very mass produced. Sorry but that’s just the way I see it! Another big shout out to their range of fox cushions though, but I’ll be sticking to Pinterest and Etsy to find inspiration for our new home furnishings that are small batch.

This is a very large store offering a range of home furnishings mostly made in china. There are some items like Christy, s towels which are made locally and Dorma which is also a branded product. The fabric department is well stocked with a nice selection of material for curtains and you can have them made up. Its great for kitting out a flat for rent or s student accomodation as the prices are very reasonable. The store has a café which serves breakfast baps, paninis, toasties and a good selection of homemade cakes. Its often understaffed and long queues at the tills are not a sign of organisation.
