Coronation Hall

This is a very pleasant, light, spacious and airy pub. It is a weatherspoons so cannot score more than 3 stars.
On the up side, it is clean and fresh, and has a convivial atmosphere. There is a good range of beer along a bar that stretches for 25 metres. The service was efficient but, see below.
The bar person couldn’t advise us as to the alcoholic content and taste of the real ales. Presumably because he was too young to have drunk any of them (well that was what he told us).
This is architecturally one of the best pubs I’ve ever been in.

This is a most unusual Wetherspoons pub. It is built in an old cinema. It is on several levels so it’s not very disabled friendly. It has a single long bar with the usual excellent range of beers, the price is reasonable, there is little parking nearby but Surbiton station is just across the road. As is typical of Wetherspoons, the standard of service can be variable. This is the second best pub in the area. The Antelope is still the best.

Massive with plenty of seating, upstairs part is nice as you’re overlooking the rest of the pub.
There’s a good selection of beers & staff are good at cleaning your plates and glasses up quickly. Food is what you would expect, not of a high quality but certainly edible with generous portions. Reasonable prices on all fronts too.
Some chavs but overall a good crowd of people– it certainly puts the Kingston branch to shame.
It’s a laid back place to come and meet with big groups of people for drinks/​eating.
I guess the criticism I have is the same as its strength, which is that it’s not in an area which has a buzzing night life, so there’s nowhere to really move onto afterwards. It can also get really crowded on weekend nights.
Most criticisms about Weatherspoons pubs are unfair. There are plenty more nice places like this one.

I think Spoons is a brilliant place, especially if you love old men as I do. I They have a wide variety of incredible, kooky characters to talk to.
It is also a good place for uni students to hang out and watch sports or just to get a pint. They have a good deal that you get a free pint with your burger, what more could you want?
This has to be my favorite pub in the Kingston area.

This is a very impressive looking Wetherspoons, check out the roof inside for example. The selection of beers are well worth a sup too. Quite a few I hadn’t seen before and the pint I had was refreshing.
It is not as cheap as some Wetherspoons pubs, but still compares incredibly favourably to any pubs nearby.
Opened in 1911 and went through previous incarnations as a lecture hall, a bingo hall and a cinema.

A place were friends will meet and greet. Where tongues will be parched with drink and lips touched by glass. A pub where the stars and planets align. You’ll see exactly what I mean when you venture to the upstairs of the pub. Meet some amazing friends there.
