Largish pub on the Dorking Road. Since the last refurbishment it is more of a restaurant. Not the place for a quiet drink. It is worth a try if you are driving past and it has its own car park.

I love this place. My partner and I feel privileged to live near.
The food is fantastic and always cooked to perfection. I love the cosy warm sofas and open fire especially in the winter.
great for seafood and steaks out of this world. Our special place for family and friends.

used to be nice, now it seems very dark and dingy, never busy the last few times i have popped in even at the weekends. what happened it used to be packed every time???
beer expensive and so is the wine, i dont mind paying extra but this clearly was not worth it, although their most recent manager seems ok maybe he could do the place some good???

The Blue Anchor used to be much better until they did a big refurbishment, with the aim of turning it into some kind of trendy pub. However, it isn’t too bad, and is in a nice rural location. They usually have a few real ales on, and the food is quite good. Overall not a bad place to stop off for a quick drink during a country drive.
