The tree is a popular restaurant. People travel from far it is that good. The staff are friendly and the service is almost as good as the food :)

went here for gf birthday in october and would say that it is one of the best meals i have had in a while, the food was good, the service excellent, the atmosphere was also good. the price was a bit more than i expected but can u really put a price on quality??? location was good and although the restaurant was busy i was seated quickly and had no delays with drink or food, will definitely go again

We went here for a meal for our wedding anniversary. Was a little disappointed when I rang to book to be told that they work in two meal sittings and we’d have to be out before the second sitting at 9pm. It felt a bit like we were being a nuisance and when we arrived the restaurant wasn’t full so there was no need for us to be made to feel that way. In the end it didn’t matter as we’d finished our meal well before that time but it didn’t give the best first impression of the restaurant. There was also a confusion when we arrived as the person who took the booking over the phone had written down our name incorrectly.
Our experience at the restaurant itself more than made up for the earlier disappointment — service was exceptionally quick and responsive and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly, much more so than they had been on the phone. Drinks were pretty expensive and the meal wasn’t the cheapest we’ve had, but we felt that the food was worth the money we paid.
The restaurant is in a very pretty location next to a pond and grassland, there’s no parking as such, but it’s easy to park on the quiet road outside.
We’ll definitely be happy to go back or to take friends and family there for a meal (ideally with someone else paying the bill)
