The atmosphere isn’t fitting for an Indian restaurant, but more of a pub. The wait staff was fantastic and explained most dishes well. The menu is extensive, almost overwhelming. The tandoori chicken was served on hot plate and carved at the table. Garlic nan was sprinkled with just the right amount of garlic and onion. Lamb shank was so tender and stewed that was bursting with flavor, we will certainly return.

Hmmm, as above, both reviewers are right: I ate here 3 times over the past year first 2 times all was lovely and the staff were lovely and the food great, really tasty and proper curry experience. Third time, total disaster. As above the awful watery experience, as though the day before’s leftovers had been boiled in water, but kind of acidic tasting too. It was frankly appalling and put me off ever going there again. I don’t know if they had a different chef or if he was ill but it was so different from the previous times, but I just don’t ever want to risk it again. Really embarrassing too as the staff are really nice but it was just too dreadful to eat. Sadly a very big thumbs down. I hope they read reviews and sort out whatever is going wrong because the other times it was so nice.

A lovely environment really warm and welcoming, looks a bit like an old Inn with its lovely wooden beams. The staff were just as welcoming and only too happy to chat, they know about hospitality here, which is sadly lacking in many other places. The below review seems to question the food,? I have to say that my experience here was very favourable, the place was busy, and had a large turnover of Takeaways and eat ins, so I guess they must have been doing something right. Good food and plenty of it, a warm welcome and reasonable prices. We shall certainly return.

Friendly staff but dismal food. Chicke shashlik warm not sizzling, with whole raw onion on the side. f Prawn curry with spinach and chilli leaked a yelllow watery«sauce» and tasted of nothing. Ditto cauliflower bhaji. Suspect everything came out of the same«curry sauce» pot with cream or chilli added. Not pleasant — I will not be back.

On previous trips Tewkesbury had proved itself to be pretty poor for anything that wasn’t deep fried so I didn’t hold out much hope for Rajshahi. It proved to be a delight from the warm welcome to the cosy restaurant and food that hands down beat anything London’s renowned Banglatown could offer. Crisp and light poppadoms with a good selection of chutneys were closely followed by a selection of light and non-greasy samosas and nicely spiced shami kebab. The byriani was a delight, tones of sweet and spicy and well-cooked, nicely textured rice with fluffy naan bread to pick it up with. Nicely cooked food, friendly service and a bill that won’t break the bank put Rajshahi on my go-to list for future trips
