On a return trip, the girlfriend and I popped back to Blue Haven to pick up some fish and chips for dinner
She got her favourite rock salmon and I picked tiger prawns (only thing on the menu which wasn’t fished locally). The food was cooked to order and for the small price of a short wait, it was delivered piping hot
Mmm. I can see why people travel from around the island to get fish and chips here. The batter is so light and non greasy, staying super crunchy. The fish and prawns were fresh and a generous portion was served. The servers also gave us a generous portion of scraps (crispy bits) at my request
The chips were also crispy shelled and had a fluffy interior. They didn’t become soggy at the bottom like a lot of chip shop chips
