Had dinner there for my husband’s birthday. We have been to Thailand so we expect a lot from thaï food. It was really good food but we have had better. Especially for the currys. The panang wasnt great, way too much lemon grass. And what a shame they don’t have the massaman. Anyway, we had the menu with 5 starters and 5 dishes to share between 3. It was enough food. Careful it was quite spicy! The atmosphere was nice. Waiters were really helpful. Service was fast. We had a lovely evening.

This is one of the very few Thai Restaurants in the Wakefield area. It is situated in Wakefield Centre and is found by climbing a very uninspiring stair case, there really is a Restaurant at the top honest) I have been here 3 – 4 times in the past 18 months or so and wouldn’t say I would particularly rush back. Quite nicely decorated and certainly clean and tidy, as welll as quite roomy. Maybe that is because it tends to be quite under filled diner wise( It has a decent enough menu and the food is quite ok really. If I go, it tends to be a Lunch time as the Lunch menu is very reasoable, most dishes on offer are around a £5.00. The service is acceptable, but never friendly and it rather feels the diners are not really so welcome. No smiles or polite chit chat at all, just stoney silence to welcome you(No particular ambience to speak of really… As mentioned there are so few Thai places in the area, this place could raise it’s game and risk doing a brisk trade, if it should so desire…

I have eaten in the Restaurant on quite a number of occasions. First the food is without a doubt superb. A nice selection of traditional Thai food to choose from. Secondly, the service is fantastic. I have never failed to be impressed by the very courteous staff. You do have to book early to avoid disappointment, as it is a very popular place to eat. And I can fully understand why. You won’t be disappointed eating there as it gets 5 stars for everything from me. If only more restaurants concentrated on the level of customer service as this does.

Found this place quite by accident, even though it lives on the shopping precinct in Wakefield Town Centre. It doesn’t face the busiest part of the precinct, and when I wanted to track it down on the internet to book for a meal, I couldn’t find it! If you look for it online, it is called Thai Kitchen, for some strange reason! At any rate, booked a table a few weeks ago for the first time. Good thing I did — it would seem to be a very popular place! Situated on the 1st floor, it has ample air conditioning(beware girls with sleeveless dresses or tops if it isn’t baking outside) to combat summer heat, simple décor, and friendly staff. There is a specials board as well as a well-spec’ed menu. Note here — the Giant Gambo Prawns really are giant! Think more like lobster tails! Food was great, and the price was very reasonable, even including drinks. Very heavy on the seafood if you like that sort of thing. Fantastic presentation!
