This is a quite large iceland iot has plenty of trolleys large aisles and is near the bus stops which is always good when carrying your shopping. The iceland here has a chiller section and sells fruit vegs pop sweets bread etc. If you end up getting a lot though they do home delivery when you spend over £25 and have your bonus card(which is free and gives you other offers and savings) which saves you some hassle. They have some great frozen foods from chicken breats to pizza. The large meals are handy and they do some lovely ice — cream I think that the best thing about Asda is the frozen party food so handy to have in the house for when unexpected guests come around. Definetly worth a vist

I’m not a fan of Iceland. To be honest the food may be cheap but I only buy the frozen veg range. There’s got to be more to life than eating a ready meal prepared from goodness knows what. They do sell milk and other grocery products as well as a small range of fresh fruit and vegetables and a range of wines and beers. This branch is easily accessible as it’s just off the main street, located inside the the Park View shopping centre. Parking is available on the upper floor of the shopping centre.

For a cheap end of the market supermarket you cannot beat this one! Probably not the best place to go if you have any health issues but the prices for some of the goods is truly amazing if you are in the market for convenience foods. I don’t think you can get some of their pizzas cheaper anywhere else.

I have to say, Kerry Katona puts me off shopping here, sorry Iceland. For convenience though, you cannot go wrong, but don’t expect healthy, fresh food. Microwave and fast food is the order of the day, although they also sell some fruit and vegetables, alcohol and confectionary.

As annoying as Kerry Katona is, she’s right — there really is a reason Mums go to Iceland. And not just mums — everyone should go to Iceland! Bargains galore!!! Delicious ready meals(free of MSG’s etc), foods both frozen and not frozen all at fantastic prices! I wish I had given in to it sooner. The family size lasagne is delicious and the bags of frozen chicken strips are really handy to make currys, pasta salads, sandwiches etc. This branch of Iceland is located right in the Whitley Bay town centre, inside the new shopping forum. It is easily accessible by public transport and the shopping centre has its own car park on the roof.
