The coffee is quite good which, after all is most likely what you want from a café. I was lured inside by a sign in the window advertising a bacon sandwich. It looked quite good on the poster and so I thought a quick breakfast before boarding the train to London was in order. I went in and asked the girl working there for it. She was Polish, by the way. It seems that everybody in England is from Poland these days; at least in the service industry. Well, she grabbed a sandwich wrapped in a plastic covering that really didn’t look like what I thought it would but what the hell. She made my coffee and microwaved my breakfast. It was OK. Edible. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Set in the old station of Windsor shrouded by other coffee shops this place has to fight for is survival. I have to say that I am not a fan of the look of the outside as it is in no way in keep with the old station at all. However the staff are friendly and are good at what they do. You will not get anything different from any other Nero’s and if you did not look outside, you could just be anywhere. I would use the independent next door but the coffee and staff are not as good. All in all, much the same but the staff are good.

Cosy place with comfy armchairs, good to to take a load off after visiting the Windsor castle! Good tasting coffee and delicious toasted sandwich– my secret tip is however the cappuccino cake… Yummy !
