Was invited to a beer tasting event at the Dial Arch. Didn’t know what to expect to find at the of the DLR line, I was impressed. The Dial Arch is a large spacious pub/restaurant. It had a very comfy atmosphere that feels like a great place to relax and hang out with friends. The event was fun with food matching with each beer. The staff were friendly and helpful. I look forward when I can return back to Woolwich and the Dial Arch, maybe next time will be for their quiz night or sunny summers day.

Managed to get tickets to a free beer tasting(Monteith’s Craft Beer) here. I found the atmosphere to be very welcoming and relaxed. Other than enjoying a range of amazing free beer with small portions of perfectly paired food dishes, we also spent a good amount of time lounging on the comfy sofas they have spaced around the bar/dining area. Only notice on our way out that they offer board games for customers and hot water bottles with blankets for customers that are cold or want to sit outside. It’s a shame the pub is so far from central London. I would be a frequent visitor if it was slightly closer to home.

I wouldn’t rate any stars if I had the choice. Visited the Dial Arch for the first time this evening to grab a bite to eat. 40 minutes later, no food. Asked the waitress, who said she would check in the kitchen. Ten minutes later, she comes and apologises and tells me there has been a problem with a few orders and that they could make it now or I could get a refund at the bar — there were not many customers there so I’m not sure what they were doing or how this could happen! The waitress at the bar advised me her colleague would do the refund. He then proceeded to serve other people who arrived at the bar after me, and in frustration I had to tell them I was waiting first. The whole thing was a very miserable experience. I’m glad I got a refund but the poor customer service and management at the Dial Arch ruined what could otherwise have been an enjoyable evening. Won’t be back unless I happen to see a sign outside saying ‘Under new management’.

Very overpriced food on the menu, that is partially missing, cold or microwaved, served by clueless staff that is neither particularly friendly nor interested. However the place looks cosy and gorgeous and the bar section is very good for drinks!

The food is overpriced for what you’re getting, which is partially missing, cold, or microwaved, served by clueless staff that is neither particularly friendly nor interested. Tried again a few times with similar experiences such as plastic in food, or chewing gum in napkin. However the place looks cosy and gorgeous and the bar section is very good for drinks! So, come for drinks, avoid the food.

Good selection at the bar with helpful staff. Plenty of space inside with both open-plan and nooks ‘n’ crannies to hide away in. Pleasant atmosphere with a nice seating area out the front on the old cobble-stones. Couple of minutes walk from the river if you fancy a stroll. Good pub food menu too.

Nice pub, great food, great drinks. One of only 2 civilised watering holes in Woolwich. Not excpetional but does all the basics really well, so you can’t really knock it for an evening out. Good quiz on a sunday too. Compared to almost everywhere else in Woolwich it’s 5 stars

This pub is great and really feels like a hidden gem! Tucked away next to the Royal Arsenal Riverside flats this pub is in a lovely setting! There is ample seating outside and plenty inside too. This pub is huge! There is a great selection of drinks and the food is delicious and served in huge portions. We went recently for a birthday celebration on a Sunday and the roasts were delicious! I had the veggie offering(despite being a meat eater) which was Brie and mushroom Wellington with spinach and all the trimmings, it was amazing! I really recommend this place they have tons of events including a pub quiz on Sunday’s with a £50 bar tab as first prize!

Very nice pub but really expensive. Best to come here for a few rather then for a night out but then I guess it’s better to pay more for a nicer atmosphere.

A great stylish pub in a lovely developed space and on the site of Arsenal’s first match. Well worth stopping for a pint or good pub food plus there’s plenty of outdoor seats if the wether’s behaving.

Nice enough pub but more expensive then others in the area. Dress code to get in though.
