It’s not bad, but it’s not great, if you see what I mean? If I lived in York I’d probably return here a few times when I’m in the area for a quick inexpensive bite, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go. It’s deceptively large, with at least three floors, but each floor is fairly small. The service was nice but… my partner was given a knife but no fork; I never got a teaspoon for my tea. The food was decent but forgettable.

Terrific atmosphere, delicious food, and really friendly service. We were wandering around looking for a nice English breakfast and we were attracted by the bright and friendly looking façade. The menu out front said they had a posh Yorkshire Breakfast. We ordered the regular and vegetarian versions and they were both brilliant. When I come next time I’m getting the never-ending Toast meal to flex their menu of Jams. We will definitely be back!

Very friendly and sweet girls working Nice salads Optimum amount of food Chicken skewers on the dry side Teriyaki salmon. Very delicious. But served cold. Hmmm. When asked to warm she said«it explodes on warming it» Cute little place. Very warm. Reasonably priced.

Stopped in for breakfast while visiting the lovely city of York. We found the service here to be lacking. We got in during a bit of a rush so we knew it wasn’t going to be quick — but we were expecting better. We were in the upstairs area with one other table that came up after us. The server quickly took our food and drink order. And then we waited. The table beside us(which came in after us) got their drinks before us. At some point later my wife got her eggs Benedict. The server didn’t know what happened to my sandwich. Finally by the time my wife was almost done her food my sandwich arrived. Maybe the service issues are because we were upstairs? But if you’re going to sit people somewhere you need to service them. We would have been fine waiting 5 minutes to have a seat downstairs if it meant service would have been better. As for the food it was noting special. Wife said the eggs Benedict were okay but nothing amazing. Same with the sandwich I had. Prices were reasonable however for what we got(service issues aside). Don’t think we’d bother to go back.

Went in for a light lunch. Ordering was a bit confusing but the options were interesting and looked tasty. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were not disappointed with the quality of the pannini and salad but the portions were a bit stingey considering the relatively high price. If you sit in the window upstairs is great for people watching though.

Stopped in for a coffee but the food looked so good we stayed for lunch. Meals made fresh daily, beautiful salads and paninis. Great prices and coffee was good too! Very happy we stumbled across this place :)
