This is my first time ever at this restaurant. I’ve always had this impression that pizza hut and pizza express are the same. (same stlye, taste and quality)
Anyway, It was bloody gorgeous. The tomato sauce is really devine. It’s not too sweet or rich. I had the magarita, my husband had the four seasons and my best buddy had the lasagna. I couldn’t fault it one bit. The staff are really pleasant.
Will be having many more visits here.

Needed some lighter fare with all the heavy British dining. This is a chain restaurant sort of like a more casual informal CPK. There were many families because it’s a perfect place to go where the kids can have pizza while the adults have other options like salads, wine and pasta.
Informal table settings, bustling, moderately priced. Not gourmet but sometime you need basic food.

I been here before, and everything was fine but, this time the pizza was cold and was very hard to cut. It was like they had cooking mine first, and left it and cooking someone elses order!!!

A nice Italian restaurant in York, part of the national chain. Pizza Express is popular with families with young childreen, groups of friends, couples, seemingly everybody. It has an outlook onto the River Ouse and the big windows make it a good place to watch the world go by.
The service is good, but you can’t book a table so you could be waiting around for ages. The food is nice and reasonably priced. The desserts are especially good. It’s great when they have a live pianist in the restaurant because it makes this seem like a much classier, more expensive restaurant and the pianist is very good.

When i am down in York i always like to have a Pizza and a place i like to visit is Pizza Express. The staff are very friendly and it is quite spacious and there is plenty to choose from on the menu.
I usually like to choose a different pizza every time as it creates a bit of variety and must say that every time i have visited the food has been lovely and i have told my friends about it.
I hope that the next time i am in York it can be one of the places that i can eat as pizza is one of my favorite foods and always tickles my tastebuds.

I find that Pizza Express is a bit of a love or hate kind of place — some people think its the greatest pizza in the world, and some think its over-rated. I fall more into the second category than the first.
Thats not to say this is a bad restaurant — there are many pizza places in York worse than this. On the couple of occasions I’ve been in here the service has been very good, and the interior of the restaurant is always tidy and modern.
The food is ok (unless you’re a fan of their pizzas, in which case, it’ll probably be wonderful) and its more reasonably priced than the nearby Ask, particularly if you can find one of the 241 offers doing the rounds on their website and in the press, and its not BAD as such, I just find Pizza Express on the whole as a very average place to eat.
This particular branch though, aside from my reservations, is just fine.
