Low Key Watersports

I throughly enjoyed my discover scuba trip with Low Key. I did not make a reservation I nearly walked in and asked if they had any spots open and they were able to a get me on a trip that day. I would suggest you make a reservation but if you happen to walk by and get the urge to dive deff inquire. The woman at the desk was super friendly and even allowed me to charge my phone while I was out on the dive.
The dive it’s self was awesome I saw so many animals including turtles. The staff was great and made me feel at ease and safe at all times.
This may seem not very important to a lot of people but my favorite part of the dive was the fact that they had a woman on their staff I have done many adventurous things where instructors were an integral part of the experience and it’s not that often that one of the instructors is a woman (I don’t know why), but I felt it Inspiring and refreshing.
Over all experience with Low Key was great and I would deff recommend them to any one.

Great, small dive shop in St. John. Divemasters did good job pointing out different fish and features. Safe operation.

I rented a prescription snorkel set from Low Key for 10 days. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic and I will absolutely rent from them again. All staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and all gear (mask, snorkel, fins) was in perfect condition. Definitely recommended!

Great set of operators. Took us out on 3 two tank dives this week and everything went swimmingly. Missy was our dive master and made the experience awesome. Have gone diving with these guys in the past and would do so again. Great team, good equipment and awesome dive spots.

Found Low Key online and reserved a discover scuba package for my girlfriend and myself. The instructors were very helpful working with two complete newbies and provided great guidance underwater. They have a very strong emphasis on safety and made two beginners very much at ease with learning the equipment.

Super friendly and knowledgable staff, quality equipment, and great buying experience! The stuff isn’t cheap because the stuff isn’t cheap! Made for a great day of snorkeling with confidence. Highly. recommended for all comers.

Dove with Low Key this morning on a 2 tank dive off of St. John Island. Usually when I dive, I’m on my own since my wife does not dive so it’s a crap shoot on how the staff treats single divers. I was very impressed on how this team paired us up as well as organizing the entire dive. Very well versed on the dive spots, very professional and accommodating as well as looking out for the safety of all the divers. I felt very comfortable diving with Low Key as it had been a few years since my last dive, they did not disappoint. The dive was not too technical nor terribly deep, so it allowed me to enjoy some bottom time and not blowing my tank out! Nice group of people, I’d dive with them again if on the island.

My husband and I spent the day on Bad Kitty, exploring the Baths at Virgin Gorda, Cooper Island, snorkeling (phenomenal!!)and bar hopping in Jost Van Dyke. Absolutely wonderful time!
The crew; captain Joe, Austin and Kara where incredibly knowledgable, personable, and took great pride in what they do. We had an incredible time learning the history of the islands aboard the incredibly comfortable vessel. Highly recommend this trip. Great for families, swimmers and non-​swimmers alike.

Great team. I have taken two trips with Low Key as a certified diver, 2012 and 2014 and my girlfriend did their discover scuba. As good as it gets with dive shops… safe, reliable, friendly, knowledgeable. They will continue to be my go-​to in the USVI.

If you’re coming to St. John and thinking about going on a dive. you should definitely dive with Low Key Watersports!
My boyfriend (at the time) planned our dive for us, we came early and everyone on the team was super nice, the shop had everything you would need, we purchased our rash guards there (they’re lifesavers!)
We went on 2 dives with Greg and the crew (I’m so sorry I don’t remember everyone’s names), we dived in Mingo Cay and Steven’s Cay.
On the 2^nd dive at Steven’s Cay, I had the surprise of my life, my boyfriend proposed to me underwater with help from Greg and the entire crew, everyone knew about it and they have been in the works for months. Low Key Watersports definitely helped my fiancée make the moment even more special and amazing.
We would like to thank Low Key Watersports for such an amazing dive and experience of our life.

We were staying at the Westin, but after reading the reviews for their dive shop… I was really hesitant to trust my life (and hard-​earned money) with them. Searching around, I found Low Key.
They had me at… rescue dogs! Seriously! Well, that and the glowing reviews! (Check out their website… cute dogs!!) Not only are they big supporters of the St. John Animal Care Center, they are a group of friendly, fun and knowledgeable people.
My bro and I were recently certified and did our open water dives in Monterey. We wanted to make sure our first real introduction to diving ‘in the real world’ was through a reputable group. We decided to hop on the boat with their ‘discover scuba’ folks as the diver to dive guide ratio was excellent — wanted to make sure we didn’t totally screw up.
Our guide was excellent — the highlight was him pulling a 6-​pound lobster out of an old sunken cannon on the ocean floor… amazing!
We did a total of 4 dives with them and had a chance to see a different spot each time. Everyone was helpful, they have a high ratio of guides to divers, and the boat is spotless and in tip –top condition.
Bonus: they picked us up at no charge from the Westin!
We will be back!

Boyfriend and I were certified here, was a perfect experience all around. Our guide Max was super helpful and seemed to really enjoy what he does. Missy was great as well and Austin too. Even the captain, Bob, was friendly. They really made it seem like old friends, especially the ladies at the dive shop who seemed to just to chat with you. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Don’t change a thing.

Got certified here and continued to dive all week with them. Great staff, great dives, can’t say enough about these guys!

Nice operation. I know some other sites have given them bad reviews but our experience was great.
Professional and friendly staff. Great DMs and captain. Give Bob a break, he’s got a great sense of humor. If I had to put up with some of the clowns he deals with I’d be 10 times as surly.
Will dive with them again if the opportunity arises.

TOP NOTCH! Low Key Watersports had just moved their location and were working out the kinks, yet still remained amazingly professional and very fun. One of my friends had not dove in several years and was a bit nervous, and they made his time underwater fun and wondrous! I wanted to dive three days, but they contacted me the night before one of our scheduled dives to let me know that the conditions weren’t going to be great, so they weren’t going out. (I so appreciate that). I wouldn’t hesitate to use these guys again. You will have a blast with Low Key Watersports!

Had a great experience meeting their friendly, helpful staff! Well-​stocked shop in a great location. Didn’t get a chance to get out on the water with them but hope to go back soon.
