Elixir Charters

Our family chartered a private boating day with The Elixir Luxury Yacht in November 2014 and it was by far the highlight of our family vacation in St. Thomas!
Captains, David and Janet MacNeil, are amazing and so friendly! We were pampered and catered to throughout the entire trip on their incredible 60-​foot yacht. We started off our day with champagne, bloody mary’s and eggs benedict for breakfast. The eggs were perfectly poached and the bubbles never ended. After breakfast we anchored the boat for a quick dip in the water.
David and Janet really did think of everything. As we swam back to the boat Janet had combs and conditioner waiting for us so that we could rinse off the salt water. These small, but very thoughtful gestures were not unnoticed and very appreciated! After our first swim we stopped at another snorkel spot where we encountered several school’s of brightly colored Queen Angel Fish, Parrotfish, and Blue Cromis. Janet brought out David’s snorkeling guidebooks so that we could identify the different types of fish we saw while snorkeling.
The cocktails continued to flow throughout the day and we were treated to the most incredible lunch of filet mignon and lobster tail! After dessert Janet offered to make us her famous painkiller cocktails. These cocktails are deceivingly tasty and pack a potent punch. After two painkillers I was so relaxed that I took a short nap!
Our final snorkel excursion was the best. David took boated our family of six on his smaller power boat to a small remote island. We snorkeled around the island in a circle and encountered the most amazing fish and coral!
Our day on the Elixir was truly a day in paradise!
