We were fortunate enough to book with Wasabi Sailing during our time down in the islands. I internet searched for a while, and wanted to find a small/local operation(Didn’t want to be on a 50 person party/cattle bus!) Wasabi Sailing was exactly what we were looking for. Eric was very flexible and always very quick in responding to our emails/texts prior to booking. We were a group of 4 and the Wasabi felt very roomy, with plenty of space to sit or sun. There was plenty of food/snacks/drinks. We all were super happy with the snorkeling spots and they even helped us blow up a special raft we brought for 1 of us who wasn’t so keen on getting in the water! Sailing with Eric on the Wasabi felt like we were old friends– good times and great stories! Many Thanks! Candice and Chris

What a wonderful day we had in St. Thomas with Eric and Dan! We went on a cruise last week and one of our stops was in St Thomas. Another member in our group did some research prior to our arrival, emailed Eric with a few questions, and received a detailed reply the same evening. Eric even suggested the name of a taxi driver that he suggested we contact to help get us from the port to the pick up spot. Eric and Dan were awesome, extremely nice and friendly! Eric told us all about St Thomas and surrounding islands as we sailed to our snorkel bay. We spent a few hours in a quiet bay, swam, snorkel, ate and drank of course! Eric has an awesome recipe for curry chicken salad and spiced rum! Would definitely recommend Eric’s Dark and Stormy cocktail! Check them out if you are looking for a great day in St Thomas.

After a lot of internet searching to book a sailing trip for my husband’s birthday, I selected wasabi sailing due to(a) the e-mail I received in reply to my initial inquiry from Captain Eric; and(b) the name of the catarman. I could not have been happier with my choose. Captain Eric was friendly, informative, helpful and accomodating. The trip was for my Husbands birthday, and he was able to bring a cake on board for me! We were a group of six, so we had Wasabi to ourselves. Although sharing wasabi with strangers would not have had any negative effects on the day, it just so happens 6 passengers is the maximum. The day of our trip, Captain Eric called early to see if we were flexible due to inclement weather reports. Luckily we were! However, Captain Eric made it clear, if we were not, we could sail today, and he would do his best to avoid the rain! The morning of our rescheduled trip we planned to meet at Secret Harbor at 10am. We were greeted by Captain Eric who transported us via dinghy to Wasabi, and our day begun. Wasabi is very spacious, my group consisted of 6 fully grown adults, four of which were male and we had plenty of room! There was plenty of sun spots for those who wanted it, and shade spots for those who wanted to stay out of the rays! The green bean bags were extremely comfortable, and I recommend spending at least some time thereon. Captain Eric and his first mate Nick were extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly. in fact you think of any positive attribute and it could be applied to these guys. The spots Captain Eric took us to, and the sailing time around the islands were perfect. The snorkeling was awesome, we requested turtles, we got turtles. The drinks were amazing, the spiced rum and margarita were delicious, went down far too easily. The food, especially the curried chicken, far exceeded my expectations. I would pay good money at a restaurant for that curried chicken. All-in-all the day was excellent, the captain and first mate amazing, and I would thoroughly recommend Wasabi for anyone traveling to St Thomas. Visited November 2014

Sailing with Wasabi is a once in a life time experience!!! I highly recommend it. Eric is extremely knowledgeable about the islands & sailing. He knows all the best beaches & hide aways that you only an experienced captain & islander would know about. From the moment we left the beach I was in pure bliss. Our afternoon was full of my favorite things– fun fast sailing, private sandy beaches, sea turtles, good food(Eric makes a killer tropical curry chix salad!). It was my ideal combo of sailing adventure to complete relaxation. We spent the ride home lounging on the front of the catamaran in giant bean bags sipping rum punch & watching the sun set over islands… Really, does it get any better? Next time I’m on island I will definitely book another tour with Wasabi!!!
