Ordered over an hour ago still waiting We were ready to get up and leave, and the food came. My husbands steak was burnt and when it came the second time it was covered in cumin. They were nice enough but I think we had high expectations and they were not met at all. So disappointed, never again. The lobster tail was covered in a spice that was so bad he couldn’t even eat it and that alone was $ 82. The best part was the shuttle back to our hotel.

Delicious food, excellent service but be prepared to pay for it, which I was so that wasn’t a big deal. Will be back for sure.

Havana Blue is high end, but worth it! If you think it might be too pricey, come during their happy hour! We had the filet mignon tacos, which you get 3 of for $ 10. And the drinks are two for the price of 1. Very affordable for a high end hotel restaurant on the beach. Loved it, highly recommend it. Emily was our server and she was such a sweetheart! She made our experience that much better!

Had dinner for my 50th birthday overlooking the sunset. Food was great and service matched it. Pricey but worth every penny for a memorable night of food and experience. Husband called on day of birthday for our reservation and they were very accommodating and treated us extra special.

Great view, good service. Good location if you are staying in Marriot. We had the chef menu for dinner. I do think it would be better to work more with the presentation of the dishes. One thing I can still remember was three pieces of sliced tuna sinked into sashimi soy, presented in a small white platter. Eh… Ice cream on the cake already melted when it was served. The espresso I got at the end, it was cold. I would give 3⁄5 if not taking into account the price(150 for each person). Again, the view is excellent.

We have been going here twice on each of our vacations to St. Thomas. We stay at the Marriott and it is right on the property. It has very tasty food, great service and the atmosphere is lovely. Be prepared to pay dearly for all of that!

Went here for dinner one night on our honeymoon and we really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was on-point! Blue lights everyone, cool water wall in the entrance, and right on the ocean. The food was really good, nothing I just had to have again but I did like each dish we ordered. There was no real flow to the menu though, some of the dishes seemed a little random. Drinks were really good though! I had a keylime martini and my husband had the island favorite«The Painkiller». Staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was everything so I would def go back!

My husband and I recently dined at Havana Blue for my birthday. We had a lovely experience. Our server, Cameron, was very pleasant and attentive, as was all of the staff we encountered. The food was terrific. For apps we had the ceviche and shitake spring roll, the latter of which was especially original and delightful. Then I had the Mahi Maho Mahi, and that fish is served on red curry risotto. My husband had the Miso Sea Bass, and that fish is served with smoked wasabi mashed potatoes. Both dishes were fantastic — very tasty and satisfying. By the time dessert time came around we were pretty full so we shared the Diablo Chocó Fondanté. The molten center was amazing! Incidentally, I enjoyed a couple of cocktails and they were awesome! That all being said, dining at Havana Blue is definitely not an inexpensive meal, but I’d say that it is a great choice for a special occasion!

Date night MUST in St. Thomas. After spending several days eating at casual places around the island, it was a nice treat to enjoy this spectacular spot. With the blue lighting and candlelight, combined with a panoramic view of the ocean, the ambiance is perfect for an intimate date night or a fun girls night out. I booked our reservation on OpenTable and requested to have a table overlooking the water. November 10th is during off season, so we had no wait and the place was only about 1⁄3 full at any given time. We had dinner and then sat at the bar for one drink — We had the surf and turf and the Ahi with a bottle of Paraduxx. The lobster was phenomenal — literally melts in your mouth! Excellent wine list to pair with any dish and dessert is a must. We had the chocolate cake and ice cream — desserts are a perfect size to maintain the bikini the following day. Service was excellent, from the time we walked in and were greeted by the hostess, to our waitress, and the bartender — A+ If you are looking for the best date spot in town — look no further!

I had a really nice experience here. We booked through Open Table and were seated right away. The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful with recommendations. They have a great wine list. We had the langosta tostadas, sushi roll, skirt steak, and mojo camerones. Everything was delicious and the views are beautiful. This is the best restaurant in the Frenchman’s Reef resort area by far.

Terrific food, enjoyable atmosphere, and attentive service. Started with the Lobster Bisque, which was delicious and just the right amount. For entrée, had the Miso Sea Bass, which was also delicious, and again just the right size, along with a glass of Joseph Carr cab. Prices were a bit high but well worth it.

Ok so this place is tough for me to review. Amazing location right on the beach and a cool atmosphere inside but unfortunately the food can’t keep up. The food was just kind of a hodgepodge of ingredients and didn’t really seem to work. Felt like Outback quality food for the most part. I will say I bumped it up to 3 stars because we loved their plantain foster served table side. It was seriously awesome–

Are here 4⁄5 nights. Consistent food, great service, awesome atmosphere. Food can be a but heavy and saucy, would love for them to have the option of clean, grilled fish. Otherwise, yummy!

Ya’ll, this was one of the best meals of my life. Let’s just talk about the view for a second. We came here in the evening so it was already dark out, but you could still see the blue sea in the distance as well as cruise ships sailing by. Truly magical. The food is JUST as great, if not better, than the beautiful view and ambiance in the restaurant. We started out with the Langosta Tostadas. A mix of shrimp, lobster and just pure deliciousness on these tostadas. Heavenly. Next, we shared the Relleno Snapper. It’s a fresh Red Snapper stuffed with shrimp and chorizo. My taste buds have never been so happy. The plate was the perfect amount for two to share. The wine was delicious, as well. I’m convinced that anything you order off the menu will be exceptional. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but it is absolutely worth EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY. As expected, the service was top-notch. Our server was clearly experienced as he described each plate with great attention to detail. I really got the impression that he is passionate about food and about serving people. He made our experience that much better and was a pleasure to talk to. Personable and friendly, yet knowledgeable and professional. Really doesn’t get much better than that. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time, this place is pretty popular. As soon as you eat there, you’ll understand why.

If you’re looking for a nice fine dining experience in St. Thomas, Havana Blue is a great option. It is located at the Marriott hotel by Frenchman’s Bay. The restaurant itself is on a second floor and offers a open air sea side experience. It’s great the hear the ocean waves while you’re dining. Lighting is dim, blue and romantic. I really liked all the creative aspects of the menu. From the drinks all the way to desserts were very different. I had a spicy Caesar salad, which was amazing. The skirt steak I had was a bit much. It wrapped around the asparagus three times. It was the biggest skirt steak I’ve ever been served in my life. So, great to share with someone else(if you want to pay their $ 6 split dish fee) or if you have a big appetite. The cilantro and chorizo mashed potatoes were delicious. The lobster dish was well worth the price according to my dad. Everyone’s meals were great. For dessert I ordered the coke«tres leches» and apparently it had only been added on to the menu the night before we dined. While the dessert tasted good, they should’ve let the angel food cake soak in the milk like the traditional«tres leches.» Overall Havana Blue provided that upscale(yet resort casual) dining experience we love.

Very much like the other reviews, this was one of the best restaurants on the island. We came here on a Monday after being on the island our first night and they did not disappoint. Service was quick and the food was good. Mojitos were just average. Lobster and shrimp tostadas: delicious! Definitely recommend Mahi mahi entrée — I can’t remember what was on it but I remember thinking this was the best on the island Sea bass– The hubby had this and it was tasty as well Affogato dessert — I really wanted the banana/plaintain foster but we ended up ordering this one and it was tasty/creamy/and just perfect!

Overpriced food with good service a nice view and a gentle breeze. While this place has the location and thanks to its glass-less windows a great view what it doesn’t have is reasonably priced food. Were talking prices north or near Michelin starred restaurants in San Francisco, New York and London(actually I’ve gotten out of SF/NY restaurants for far less). I started with three minuscule tacos($ 6 each o. O) that were on homemade tortillas. The tortillas were excellent, the beef succulent and flavorful. The manchego cheese a nice kick. All I could have told you about the lobster bisque was that the few bits of lobster were cooked to perfection. The bisque sadly didn’t offer much lobster flavor. My steak entrée was cooked blue as requested and the beef had good flavor. The sides were very good. The problem was the steak was about 30% sinew. Yum. The service was good, the tacos were good and the drinks were good. Aside from the excessive sinew the steak was good. However for the prices they charge good doesn’t cut it. They also engage in a practice I find rather annoying — when the server lists the specials they don’t mention the price. It was only by asking that I found out that the surf and turf would have been $ 125. I’m sorry, that isn’t Maine lobster and that doesn’t look like Kobe beef. Perhaps I was there on an off night.

Amazing, delicious, sexy ambiance… I could go on an on! After spending a week on boats with a big group of people, our last meal in the tropics was a memory made having gone to Havana Blue. WOW! Our maitre’d was phenomenal. I can’t remember his name but he looked like a darker haired Bradley Cooper(obviously I can remember that…) he was very educated on the flavors and wine. He has his Som 1 certification and was a fantastic support during our meal! We had a group of 9, two ordered the Skirt Steak(BEAUTIFUL presentation, delicious flavors, sauces, and sides), a few — including me — had the ancho filet(it was a little over cooked for my medium rare ask but the flavors and sauce were delicious). The only thing I wasn’t a fan of were the wasabi mashed potatoes — they were a little dry and play-doh-esque for me. Two split the surf and turf — the review on the meat was just okay but the lobster was delicious and succulent. We ordered the plantains foster for dessert, and some scoops of ice cream. The wine paired perfectly with our meal and it was clear that our server was educated in fine dining. Had we been staying in St Thomas longer(we were only there 2 days) I would definitely have returned! Perfect for a romantic evening, accommodating for groups, and the coolest atmosphere in St Thomas.

Normally, going to a different part of the country I like to order something out of the norm. That way I get to try what’s best. That night, I wasn’t feeling what’s listed in the menu. So I opted for a safe option, Miso sea bass. Boy did I make a good choice. The fish was cooked perfectly on a bed of wasabi mash. Mmm… no regrets. My husband ordered the surf and turf. Turf was tough even though he asked for medium-rare. The surf was a spiny lobster. It was big. I’m talking about 10 – 12 inches long of pure lobster tail. However, that is not what made his dish special. Along his course came the Manchego Potato Air, in layman terms — cheesy potato foam. IT. WAS. SO. GOOD. Martha Stewart’s mash potato got nothing on this. We dipped everything in it and licked the bowl clean and I don’t even like mash potato all that much. So good that we wonder why anyone in the table next to us would leave any foam behind. It’s was very light with a hint of cheese and truffle. Drool. The not so exciting, we got the Mahi Mahi ceviche with plantain chips. It was okay. It’s on the sweeter side. And the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was okay too. The rice got stuck on our teeth though. The place was dark and windy since we were pretty much dining outdoors. I would go back just for the potatoes.

My wife and I dined here twice while staying at the Marriott. The first time there, we started off with the steak taco appetizer. It was amazing. I have not tasted flavors similar to this since I dined at a wonderful restaurant The Mission in Scottsdale, AZ. Unfortunately, the entrée really did not do it for me. I don’t blame the chef or restaurant, it was more of my person taste preferences. My wife’s entrée was reported to be fantastic though. We went back a second time because the steak taco appetizers were so good. This time we sat at the bar and made a meal of appetizers. We did the mahi-mahi lettuce wraps which were awesome. We followed it up with the stake tacos and a Caesar salad. As expected, it was great. FYI, they make a killer regular mojito. We found that we enjoyed our second visit better than the first by sitting at the bar and making tasting meal out of apps. And… I think it ended up cheaper. It is pricey, but well worth it. Forget my comment about me not being crazy about the entrée — the subsequent dinner of tasting apps made it worth it.
