Never had a bad meal at Thirteen! Everything is delicious and I love to get a few things to share with friends! Drinks are on point and refreshing! Between the dimly lit atmosphere, the cocktail menu and modern delicious food, Thirteen gives you an urban meets island laid back vibe! Perfect place for a hangout with the crew or a date night!

By far our favorite dinner after a week on the island. Each dish was perfectly prepared and so flavorful! We had the garlic knot rolls and salad(with bacon-infused vinaigrette) to start things off, both were delicious. I had the seafood rigatoni… By far the best I’ve ever had. Husband had the fresh wahoo special and also the jalapeño margarita — loved them both! We’ll be back again.

This is my favorite Resturant on St Thomas! Every time I’m in town it is a requirement to visit which is a few times a year. Since we generally stay on the east side of the island we do have to plan our visit since it’s a nice drive to the north side. Last night we had the 2 special appetizers which were tuna tostadas and pork belly steamed buns. Yummy! I ordered the special entrée which was scallops with 3 cheese ravioli. The sauce was so good I was licking my plate! And of course I had my 2 favorite drinks which are the infused olive vodka martini with olives stuffed with cheese and bacon AND spicy prickly pineapple vodka martini. And we always finish the evening by «rolling the dice» at the bar.

This was absolutely the best meal we had on this trip to St. Thomas. Before Google, it might have been hard to find but is certainly no problem now. Our waitress greeted us cheerfully and put us in the best table in the place with the best view when we arrived for our 6 p.m. reservation. We breathed in the view and ordered drinks. While enjoying them we were brought an amuse-bouche of a small wonton of tuna with a mango reduction. Lovely start We had mostly specials of the evening. Yellowtail sashimi was served with a rice and carrot ball. There was wasabi and grapefruit garnish with a coulis. Super flavors which complimented each other well. The beef taco special was amazingly beefy with a tomato avocado salsa. We thought this dish was fabulous. We also had a chevre(goat cheese) nestled in a puff pastry pillow with beet and orange accompaniments. This was most interesting and pleasing. For desert we had a deconstructed apple tart with house made ice cream. I became a fan of deconstruction while eating this dish. We also had a macadamia short bread under coconut sticky toffee pudding, also served with the house made ice cream and a caramel coulis. It was a thoroughly pleasant meal and we would have lingered over coffee or a digestif but a table of egocentric notice me blowhards came in and ruined the atmosphere of the place. Not Thirteen’s fault that they attract rich boors. We drove down the mountain in a haze of pleasure from the meal, sorry to have cut it off abruptly at the end.

Let’s start out with this place has excellent food! My husband and I came here with two friends after a long, long day of exploring St. Thomas eatery. Since this was our last stop, we were a bit full, but wanted to try this place anyways since it has such excellent reviews from Trip Advisor, Unilocal and was highly mentioned to my hubby by his coworker. We ordered delicious pork belly, scallops, duck, seafood gnocchi and donut dessert! Everything was cook to perfection. The views there was stunning. It was a very beautiful and romantic place to eat at. So this ONE star rating is strictly for our waitress! We ordered such little food between the four of us, because like I said, we have been eating all day! My husband heard the waitress made a comment to the front greeter saying«Omg they have four people but ordered just TWO appetizers and TWO main courses.»(The duck appetizer was on the house!) What a rude comment! I highly recommend she goes to manner class and not judge people especially when she’s in this business. Everyone should be respected the same way regardless of what they ordered. She definitely ruined our mood with her crappy comment and not to mentioned she rolled her eyes after we ordered!!!

Usually treat recommendations from hotel staff with caution but the bartender was so adamant that this was by far the best restaurant«hands down,» we had to give it a try. First, the drive up the mountain to get to the restaurant was worth the trip. The view from the restaurant was incredible, which made it that much better that the unique food choices, the staff and the friendly local patrons were all outstanding. If you are like us and like to get off the normal tourist beaten path, I highly recommend Thirteen for a great evening. Make a reservation.

Ok, here we go… AWESOME culinary experience that my mouth was thanking me for with each and every bite !! My husband and I have been on St. Thomas since last year. The 2 of us actually met the owner(husband) when we were at Hull Bay back in August of 2015 and he invited us to come by and check out his lil gem, needless to say it has taken us til last night 2÷20÷16 to finally dine at this small quaint and totally amazing establishment. I’ve been referring to myself as a foodie since 1990, yes you read that right. I love food period. Back stateside in our home state we have what we call our go to place(Sardine Room) when we want a more than satisfying meal and something that takes eating to the next level… shame on us for taking so long to finally get to this lovely and completely competent restaurant to satisfy your gastro needs. This is our new place on St. Thomas to go have some food sex !!!

It’s been a couple of years since our last visit to Thirteen and everything food-wise remains fabulous. The bacon-encrusted scallops(appetizers) and crab-covered mahi-mahi(split entrée) were perfect. I mean perfect; I wouldn’t change a thing. The deserts at Thirteen are good but not in the«wow» stratosphere; yes, even the crème brûlée cheesecake. A couple of drinks and the bill was $ 90 but well worth every penny. Service was friendly and efficient given the packed house. Definitely a team effort by all the wait Staff. Reservations are a must have unless you like standing around at the bar, drinking and waiting, drinking and waiting, drinking and waiting. Parking remains the principle problem. It’s not just the availability, it’s the sheer danger. It’s like parking your car on a LeMans racetrack. If ever a restaurant needed a valet parking service, this is the one.

GAH — the food here was AMAZING. My girlfriends and I decided to go out for a «nice» dinner our last night on the Island and this is where we ended up. We made a reservation and although we waited awhile past that time to be seated, the food BEYOND made up for it. We ordered for an appetizer the Garlic Knots — YUMMO! They also came out with some sorta of sample of fresh Tuna, which was delicious! The girls and I all had the Prime Rib — SOGOOD. I do not have anything bad to say about the food. It was so delicous, I can taste it now here as I type LOL. The desert selection was yummy as well! I would TOTALLY go back to this place!

Where do I begin… Best place to eat in St. Thomas. Came here on Xmas eve while on a layover for work. Our bartender at our hotel told us about this great little restaurant and they were able to get us a reservation last minute. We didn’t know what to expect but after we sat down and looked at the menu we had no idea what to order because it all looked amazing! hands down one of the most creative menus with about every single one of my favorite foods. the food was better than it even sounded on the menu and we enjoyed a lovely meal being that we were far away from our families. I would definitely go back here.

The food at Thirteen is simply heavenly!!! We started our meal with some amazing appetizers. The garlic knot rolls with smoked sea salt, Parmesan cheese and Gorgonzola dip were so magical that we had to order a second helping for the table! We also ordered the mussels with jalapeño bacon, roasted garlic, tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and a Cajun white wine cream sauce. Every drop of cream sauce was sopped up with bread until the dish was wiped clean! For my entrée I ordered the grilled lamb burger served on a warm buttered brioche roll with feta, basil, spinach, and red onion port jam. Flavor explosion!!! The burger was served with the most addictive rosemary sea salt fries! My mother-in-law could not stop stealing my fries and that is very unlike her! If this restaurant wasn’t so far off the beaten path I would eat here every night when we visit St. Thomas!

I’m really torn — wish we could have gotten the full experience. You need to make reservations for this place or you’ll be eating in the bar-lounge area. This remote restaurant booking out on a weeknight evening says a lot! I really loved the foie gras jelly micro-slider aka pbj. The pizza was good but nothing memorable. Very limited parking. And most people spillover into the shoulder of the narrow single road. Not a problem in the quiet evenings, but be careful with thru traffic when walking back to the restaurant. The USVI dining scene is not much to TL;DR over and it’s expensive. Thirteen offers something unique to the boring island choices but it’s just missing that extra bit to justify the even higher prices. If I ever make it back, I’d try it again and it would probably get a 4 — 5 star.

We decided to eat here as a group of 4 and it was decent. The waitress that served us wasn’t the most friendly, but I can handle that. We had hot wings, garlic bites and lettuce wraps as appetizers. The wings were awesome, garlic bites were all right and I didn’t care for the lettuce wraps at all, which was a bummer because they looked and sounded delicious. For entrees, we had a pizza and a burger. The pizza was pretty good while the burger was mediocre. I’d probably give this place another try if I’m visiting the area again, but nothing spectacular about it.

We adore this place. It’s a must on our yearly trip to St. Thomas. The food is excellent. Try the seafood rigatoni. They will spice it up if you like. The mussels appetizer with focaccia bread makes your mouth water. Everything is made fresh in house. Even the desserts. You just can’t go wrong. Atmosphere is eclectic, warm and inviting. Courtney was our server two different years. Highly recommend asking for her. She made our meal flow in a special way by making recommendations, timing everything from wine to dessert just right, and you get the feeling she is taking care of you like a family member. Thank you Courtney!

The location is difficult to find. Would not show up on my personal Garmin GPS. I had to use Google Maps on my cell phone to find. Also, do not go through the North of Charlotte Amalie, rather go Brewers Bay past the airport and head up West End Rd, then Hwy 33. Main roads and well lit for night time driving. On the way to Thirteen Google maps routed my wife and I through the North of Charlotte Amalie, at night. Boy that was sketchy. I seriously thought I was going to get jacked. From the area and outside the place looks like a shack, but inside is it the nicest open air restaurant. No windows — just open island breeze. We dined at night, so we could not see the views, but apparently you can get a nice northern ocean view of the island coast. We started off with the cauliflower and focaccia appetizers. Both were excellent, but perhaps the facaccia was an error. It was huge and very filling, making the entrée difficult to finish. For the entrée my wife and I both got fish — but unfortunately I do not remember which one. Both dishes were excellent, but our stomachs were full after the two apps and we couldn’t finish the plate. Although we were full, we were still tempted by the dessert menu, but did not succumb to it. All and all, a nice place focused on local foods. Recommended

My family comes to St Thomas every year, and we always go to our favorite restaurants. This year, a local friend of ours recommended we try Thirteen. It’s now our new favorite spot!!! Thirteen is just AMAZING. The food, service, ambiance, view, drinks, all top notch. Can’t get much more perfect than this! There’s a cute bar area when you first walk in, a little less formal with high top tables around the bar. The formal dining is in the back, with a beautiful view of the ocean. We started with cocktails, the house made infused vodkas were perfect in our martinis. And they have lychee! Appetizers, we got goat cheese & pecan salad, very good. The smoked corn on the cob was the hit at my table, with Gorgonzola cheese, wow, everyone wanted more of this! For entrees, our favorite was the salmon, it was perfectly cooked and literally melts in your mouth. The lamb shank special was our next favorite, on top of creamy risotto. So tender and juicy! The lobster & shrimp rigatoni in creamy white sauce was also delicious, the sauce was phenomenal. The lobster roll was good, but small, and the burger was very delicious although a tad overcooked, but great flavor in all the seasonings and toppings. The service was fantastic, as you’d expect from a restaurant this caliber. The deconstructed apple pie for dessert was awesome also. Overall amazing, we will definitely come back here, it’s one of our new favorites on the island!

My parents live on the island and take me here whenever I visit. Seriously yummy noms to be had. The owner is an institution on the island having opened several restaurants. Never stays in one spot for long, opening then selling and moving on, though Thirteen seems to be the exception. The service is always impeccable. they really do take good care of you. Here’s the run down of what we had this time around: Appetizers: Fried oysters — Delicious. They were dusted with Cajun spices and nicely fried. Crab spring roll — Fairly good but surpassed by the oysters. Fish taco — Again, very good but I only had eyes for the oysters. As a bonus they brought each of us a spoonful of lamb chili made earlier in the day on a tiny square of cornbread. This was really friggin’ good. I hope they turn it into a regular item! Mains: 3 out of the 5 of us had one of the specials that night, crab and lobster stuffed bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. It was amazing. My mom had the seafood rigatoni, a staple on the menu and always delicious. My brother in law had the fish and chips, I didn’t try any of it but he was happy and he’s very particular about his fish. Dessert: Donut bread pudding — my sister and her husband split this and loved it. I didn’t like it but I don’t like bread pudding, even when made out of a donut apparently. Mint Ice Cream — this is beyond fabulous. It’s home made ice cream and super minty, which I loved but others didn’t like. It was so good I ate it too fast and actually burped some of it up on my shirt. I was also drunk, having pulled double duty on the wine since my sister is preggo, so that might have had something to do with it too… There are only two downsides to Thirteen. One is the poor generator placement. When the power goes out, a frequent and inevitable thing everywhere on the island, the diesel generator right next to the window kicks on and blows gas fumes into the restaurant. The other is the terrible parking, and it’s always busy so there’s always terrible parking. But that’s something you just have to learn to deal with on the island :)
