I really liked the atmosphere of this place, it was really difficult to find seating but once we got a table it was great! I love the layout, its really loungy and comfortable for a bar, something I never really expected. I tried the Queen of Tart beer and it was pretty good, it didn’t have as much raspberry flavor that I expected but it was a good beer none the less. We looked at the menu and I has never has sardines before so we decided to get them to snack on and they were absolutely delicious! I actually became addicted to them after having them there and every place we went to for the rest of the vacation I got them if they were available, but they all didn’t taste AS good as here. The view from the balcony is really pretty and even better in the afternoon when the sun is setting. We didn’t end up staying here too long but for the hour of so that we were there it was a great time and a great atmosphere.

Want somewhere to go that’s cool. Creatures next door… To little creatures. Large group or small tapas menu and jazz band playing in the background. A little chilly on the balcony over the water so take a jacket or wrap. Play board games or cards. Watch the sun set

Went here for a work function. I recommend it highly for functions over the usual Little Creatures. A bit quieter and more exclusive. They would get 5 stars if the table service was a little more prompt. The staff were friendly and the canapes were tasty. All the beers you’ve come to love from little Creatures. The furnishings are all comfy giving the lounge atmosphere. Great for functions, catching up with groups, or an intimate date.

The previously named Loft still has that charm and chilled vibe. Perfect for a sunny afternoon with friends or family. The food looks quite delicious on the menu as always however, is average for the pricing, a real shame given the food at Little Creature’s Brewery is always pleasing! The mousse was outstanding out of all the dishes and I’m a savoury girl! The couches, décor, balcony make this place lovely as does the wine & beer selection. Unfortunately food quality isnt too wonderful.

We have been here many, many times. One of our favourite places for drink in Fremantle. After going on a great drive along the coast from Hillary’s to Fremantle this is a great place to stop off at for a few drinks to relax and enjoy the sunset. We always love the atmosphere here. Overlooking the Fremantle marina with a gorgeous sunset if you come in the evening. Staff is always very friendly and engaging. Great nibble to go along with a few drinks. What can be wrong with this moment :)

If you’re keen for a chilled drink at the end of a busy wintery weekend(let’s face it, we love to live in denial that the weekend is over come Sunday night!!) then Creatures Nextdoor is the place to head. A gorgeous sunset backdrop to a weekly rotation of three jazz bands, comfy laid back chairs and couches and a delightful array of booze and snacks to choose from makes this joint after 4pm on a Sunday a very sexy option :) Give it a whirl!

Tucked around the corner from the Little Creatures Brewery and Pub is Creatures Next Door, previously known as The Loft if it’s been a while since investigating this end of Freo. This is perfect if you want somewhere quiet at the end of a night to chill and talk over a drink or two. There’s a small selection of Australian wines as well as the Little Creatures range. The kitchen is also open late and you can also get a small bite to eat. We got here at 10:30PM Saturday night and managed to order a dozen oysters. There is a small boardgame library available for customers to play. Pick a game you can recall the rules to. The lighting is a bit dim to read any rules available. At the moment there’s comedy on a Saturday night and jazz on Sundays. Definitely a place for a chilled out place for drinks and chatting. The interior has plush chairs and couches in soft lighting, perfect for small groups and date nights.

Creatures Next door used to be called The Loft and has had a mini facelift. The old mismatched second hand couches and armchairs(some of which were losing their springs — once you sat down you had to fight your way back out of the couch) have been upgraded to new retro style chairs and couches. It looks great. The menu has also had a well overdue update however the prices sit just under the $ 20 mark for small bites. Some items looked a little expensive for what they were(still don’t understand how a small serve of olives can cost $ 9). An item which caught my eye was the sticky pork belly(yum yum) however we only stopped for a wine and coffee(coffee wasn’t too bad, perhaps a little milky). Great place to catch up with friends on a chilled Sunday afternoon. Kick back, have a wine and enjoy the views and live jazz.

Come on up to the Loft! Dropped in here with a group of friends to avoid the line to get into Little Creatures out the front. The atmosphere is very Fremantle: chilled out and laid back. Plenty of comfortable looking couches inside to side on and a reasonably sized balcony out to the side. We ended up sitting outside to catch some sun as the«freo doctor» was in full force and most of us were feeling a bit cold inside. A great atmosphere and the board games idea is also whilst not original great fun. We proceeded to engage is what turned into some sort of Olympic grade competition of Jenga much to the amusement of several other patrons nearby. A great afternoon was had by all. The crowd seems pretty friendly and so do the bar staff. Not a bad spot if you want to go somewhere different.

Definitely a sleeker and sexier version of Little Creatures, but without loosing that down to earth Fremantle vibe. The Loft’s interior is much more plush than its neighbours and the drinks menu is much more sophisticated, with lots of cocktails to choose from. A great spot for a date with the inside possessing a romantic and cosy feel. Sitting outside on either of the balconies for views of the water is also wonderful. Great live music and comedy make regular appearances on the stage at the Loft. This place easily becomes a quick favourite.

Am I the only one not impressed by this place? I mean, sure, it has some nice seating and a semi decent bar but bouncers are kinda douchey and music is slightly too loud for the kind of atmosphere it is going for. I’ve been there 3 times and I’m struggling to remember anything noteworthy from the time spent there. Yeah, the view is nice, but not much else. I like Little Creatures and I’m failing to see the point of moving away from all the glorious beer they serve to sit in a slightly more comfortable couch.

This is Little Creatures stylish and refined older sister and good looks run in the family. The loft takes in the same ocean bay views through large windows and high ceilings, but in more plusher seating and surrounds. Suitably, the crowd is a bit older and more sophisticated. That’s not to say that Creatures Loft is full of snobs, not at all; it’s the same people that love Little Creatures, just here on a more fancy occasion. The air is more serene up at the loft too which is aided by the softer music and lesser gathering. A great thing about Creatures Loft is that there are never any lines. You could waltz in here, sit on one of the royal chairs and not order a thing; just soak up those vistas. Why are they short a star? Not enough people

This new addition to the ever so amazing Little Creatures, is the loft. It is a little walk from Little Creatures, like its other half it sells all the local beers and wines in their glory. It has a really good vibe inside and really nice interior design. It is a great place to hang out wether in be day or night. I love this living room style feel to the place, it is homely yet modern. I am a big fan basically!

Next door to the Little Creatures brewery is The Loft, an upstairs bar and lounge. Unlike the brewery, with its rough-hewn edges, The Loft is a slick combination of modern architecture with charming furniture from bygone eras. The lighting at The Loft, plus the jumble of old furniture, gives The Loft an intimate feel, but The Loft is decidedly more upscale than the brewery. Little cocktail dresses and smart casual is the look at The Loft, and there is a decided air of sophistication. Add ocean views on its balcony, and The Loft feels like a private club. However, The Loft is very accessible — and with its quieter atmosphere and wider range of drinks than the brewery, is a good place to enjoy a cocktail after dinner.

Little Creatures have extended their happening port-side vibes to this loft-style bar and comedy lounge just a few seconds down the road. If you’re a fan of the Little Creatures sauce, it’s all here along with a range of locally and internationally-picked wines and beers. I love this place day and night, it seems to straddle the two dynamics extremely well with open-air vistas onto the port and plenty of verandah-style drinking space. The bar is peppered with old couches and mix-matched dining furniture, which are grouped together living room-style, encouraging intimate gatherings with friends. I’ve yet to frequent the comedy lounge down the hall, but I’m told it’s plenty fun and apparently they have live gigs there too. Brilliant Fremantle energy here.
