Alas sky terrace was closed for a private function so it was off to Cherry for my first ever visit to the star. It is very kardashian but of course being in a casino what else should I expect! But the surroundings are very glitzy but in a relatively tasteful way. And the service was good. We had pre noodle market drinks with a couple of glasses of Chandon. I think this would be a good spot for a big night but was probably a little over the top as a choice for pre noodle market drinks!

Swanky, luxe and upmarket. The cocktails do not come cheap. This place is like trading gold on the black market. If you look at things this way, the ‘Casino Royale’ experience is worth dressing up for. The hospitality is great, yet at times a little inconsistent. For instance, one of the staff tried to take away my Piscostachio ($ 17) cocktail drink away from me, especially when it was obvious that I had a few more mouthfuls to go.
New Years Eve — exclusivity. Forget about top views of the fireworks unless you have at least $ 140 to spare. That (on New Years Eve) will give you a Casino Royale experience with a glass of Moet and Chandon at midnight and some canapes in-​between.
The décor is stunning with a great nightlife feel while the DJ mixes it up in addition to the bar. The variety is diverse, and there are quotations that match each drink. The cocktails one is from Coco Chanel. Gaming tables are also inside, and the James Bond feel was definitely well and truly alive at NYE in 2012.
If you love your cocktails, and you’re in the mood for something upmarket, then Cherry is your friend. Oh and happy hour occurs from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday to Friday with selected $ 5 drinks!

Really nice décor, great drinks and also great cocktail wait staff service. Definitely a nice upmarket after-​work chill spot for those living or working in the area.

Cherry Bar is the sexy new cocktail lounge to open its red bollards in the stylishly re-​furbished «Star» of Sydney our new look casino. This bar has become my new local and I just love it! With an exquisite cocktail list that uses very creative names to describe its delectable beverages, it is surely a place you need to head to taste something deliciously new. The signature cocktail a «Cherry Cola for Lola» will literally burst through your taste buds.
Upon arrival at Cherry you will be warmly greeted by the beautiful girls that proceed to serve you throughout the night. Dressed in their silky grey numbers with the red belt around their tiny waists they are all very gorgeous, warm, welcoming and intelligent conversationalists. The personalised service you receive at Cherry is second to none. There is no doubt you will feel quite at home in the bar. When I walk in the entrance I am greeted with a kiss and a hug by most of the girls and a few of my favourite barman come out from behind the bar to greet me. I almost feel like the team at Cherry are my extended family and it is slowly becoming my second home.
The décor is simply stunning with luxurious furnishings and very cosy lounging areas coupled with immaculate harbour views. You will feel exclusive but at the same time comfortable.
The marble topped bar in the middle of the room boasts a huge selection of top shelf beverages and an ice making machine that will create a perfect rock for your scotch.
When you go to the bar be sure to check out the flaring skills of head bar man Dominique, he is nothing short of amazing. You will be highly impressed with what he can do with a glass, some liquid, a cocktail shaker and a lighter!
Ladies there is some great eye candy in Cherry Bar for you too. Be sure to say hi to the Maitre D, his name is Wayne and he is always sporting a slick suit. Flash your smile to young, Tipo, a dark guy with buffed arms and look out for someone famous dressed in black when you enter the bar.
Throughout the night, a variety of Ministry of Sound DJ’s create the vibe with some great house, lounge and afro beats.

Cherry bar is new, it’s exclusive, and it is a great place to start the night or to relax with a cocktail or three, you will love it! It’s simply «sweet like Cherry».
