Malaysian restaurant located in the cosy street of St Kilden. Small menu with typical Malaysian/Asian dishes. Fast and friendly service, but a bit expensive for what us served, maybe It’s Australian standard or due location. The expectations were over what we received.

We loved this place! Service was very prompt and friendly. We had the chicken satay, a plain roti(used the generous serving of peanut sauce from the satay.) curry laksa, steamed vegetables, and chicken curry. Everything was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. I really enjoyed the tenderness of the chicken in the curry. The laksa was cheap and as delicious as I’ve ever had. I wish I had a larger stomach so I could have tried more things from the menu! Definitely recommend if you are in the area looking for non-pub food.

When booking our reservation they were polite and very helpful in making sure I knew where they were located. We sat inside as it was a cold night but knowing they have seating outside I will make sure I come back on a warmer night to enjoy the nightlife of St.Kilda. Our meals were well presented and full of scrumptious flavours. I will definitely be going back.

This is one of my go-to restaurants in the ‘hood — the food is consistently quite good. There are a lot of options on the menu but I tend to go for the beef rendang and chicken curry — both of which are delicious. The portion sizes are pretty substantial and the prices are quite reasonable. The restaurant itself is a bit on the small side and can sometimes feel a bit cramped, especially when it’s busy, but that’s a minor downer for an otherwise great restaurant. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has been creating Malaysian food forever, and thank goodness for that! It has an extensive menu and the food banquets are real winners if you’re in a group of four or more people. Downstairs seating is a lot prettier than the upstairs, so try and book a seat downstairs if you can. And if you can’t get a reservation you can order take away. It’s a little cheaper than its sister restaurant Chinta Ria Blues, which is located at the opposite end of Acland Street. These guys make the best tasting Nasi Goreng in town!

It gets quite busy here as it is so popular, but have no fear as if you cannot get a table try your luck at Chinta Blues just a nice stroll up the other end of Acland street near Fitzroy St. Every time my friends and I come here we cannot go past ordering the roti with satay sauce. With a subtle spice and chunks of peanuts this has to be some to the best satay sauce I have ever had.
