«Do you guys mind if I book a table in a restaurant for tomorrow’s dinner, because the location is quite small?» That was all I knew when I entered this little gourmet beauty. Indeed, Gronnegade is very small but has a nice charm all over the restaurant. Though the tables are here and there bit narrow, which gives a bit of a packed impression, there is a comfortable feeling within. We had a table on the upper floor and checked the menue card. We all ordered the 4meals/6serving-meals and did individual adjustment. Interestingly, the dinner can be served with different wines for every course, so we have not to care about the best drop. The meals itself were so tasty, we all ate in silence because it was over-delicious! The meat went down like butter, the sauce was intense, but not strong. Also the vegetables very were well-cooked. Every course was over the top and served with the best suitable wine(even the dessert). Also the service was super, although we had to wait a bit too long for the first course, but that’s the only negative point. Every course was presented by the waitress with a smile and at the end, she even joked with us. Hope to encounter more such relaxed and easy-going waitresses. Two things need to be said: On the lower floor, the tables are very packed and one is right at the toilet’s entrance which may be disturbing a bit. If you book, try to catch a table on the upper floor. Second, top quality has its price. Come with a well-filled wallet(or enough limit on the credit card). It is not over-expensive, but you won’t eat here for 20 bucks. Finally, we all left with a little cry inside because it was over. I rarely bookmark but this one was a no-brainer. Don’t miss this, I warn you!
