On a cold and rainy morning I can’t think of a better place to be than Taxa. The room was cozy, the staff friendly, the chairs covered in fur and blankets. The food was delicious and the coffee good. We had the Spanish(omelet) tortilla and the bacon and eggs. Both were very good and the scrambled eggs were the best I’ve had in a really long time. I am sorry that we did not have time for another meal there. Another reviewer complained that they weren’t told how long the wait would be for a table. A stupid comment. They don’t rush you out of the place as soon as you have eaten, they understand that a meal or a drink are a social occasion. If you are in that much of a hurry, go to Burger King, you deserve it.

I was surprised by the low reviews Taxa received as I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the items I had. On a Sunday evening, we were looking for something sweet after dinner and stumbled on Taxa. The seating by the windows are very cozy with fur, wood, and candles. Their cocktail list only had two items but both were excellently prepared. I suggest their in house mojito made with elderflower and their mint lemonade. The citrus fromage was on point with a perfectly firm yet fluffy texture and the homemade bounty(chocolate covered coconut) was perfectly sweet. We had to go to the bar from our table to get served but the bartender was very friendly and willing to explain everything on the menu and offer her insight. This is a great place to spend a few hours with good company.

Nice place to sit outdoors, but the food is expensive and substandard. Come for summer drinks in the sunshine, but eat first!

Definitely not the best brunch in copenhagen! But I guess people don’t go there for the food but for the fact that you can sit outdoors. And I think it was too expensive for what you get. 130 dkk for a plate with non tasty food is too much. I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper to everything to make it slightly tastier. Plus the waitresses were confused. They charged us for two coffees extra which were an order of the next table. However the ginger lemonade is very good. Worth trying! If I go back it will be for a coffee or beer because I like the place and indoors it has some cute benches.

The main reason to go to Taxa is because of the location and the atmosphere — not the food. Taxa is situated at a corner where the sun always shine(almost, at least) and when you go inside, it’s a really nice place. No matter if there are lots of people or just a few — it’s always nice to hang out here. Then to the food. It’s not bad. It’s definitely okay, but not much more than that. Their brunch is good, but very standard. You get exactly what you think you will get at a standard brunch. Same for the food — you can get the traditional dishes that you can get most other places in town. It’s not bad, not at all, but it lacks creativity and that«little bit extra». I would go here for coffee, wine and lemonade. Their lemonade is actually the best in town! And their«weekday breakfast» is quite good — so that’s a good option as well. You can’t make a reservation at Taxa, and it’s full quite often. The people working there are not very service-minded, so don’t expect fast service, extra smiles or any information about when they think they might have a table free.

They are a bar offering dinner service, not a restaurant, and you can notice that. I went there for dinner with a group of five people. Since they do not accept reservations we just showed up already taking into account we would have waited. What we DIDNOT take into account was to meet a staff unable to tell us how much we should have waited for a table. They had no idea. REALLY? You offer dinner service and you have no clue of when your next table is gonna be available? And there is more, we were actually invited to have a look around in the neighborhood(WTF). Luckily for us, after a few minutes, another group left and we got a table. (Was it that hard to predict that for the staff??). We waited way TOOLONG for the drinks omg, 15 min for just four beers. The menu is only in Danish. Most of us got burgers. They were surprisingly good and the portions were optimal. Fries were really good too. I was happy with the meal. Assuming that their whole menu is at the level of the meal I got(still to verify), they might deserve 4 stars, but they have to improve the staff, making sure they become quicker and more efficient. (You cannot be unable to give a waiting time to your customers if you offer dinner service and do not accept reservations!)
