Well, I heard all the stories of deviant Russian-speaking fans adoring this property, which I am told was owned by Corsicans at one point, and — at one point — only accepted cash for payment. I heard that rooms were several thousand Euros and that many high profile people stayed at this property. We decided to see it and possibly try it out, and came for lunch first. It is, indeed, a beautiful property, and it does not seem to have any competition in the immediate area. So why the poor review of the restaurant? We had 4 waiters, and none could figure anything out. We had to wait over an hour for a second course, and waiters had no idea there was a second course coming and did not care much. The food was average. I guess you are there for a nice view, and getting an ocean view probably means more to you if you are from Siberia or Donetsk… The climax of this lovely experience was when we found numerous errors in our bill. We asked about the extra charges, and the 4th waitress did not say a word, but left only to return in 20 minutes with a new and materially different bill. I asked if the previous bill had«mistakes». She sort of shrugged and processed the new bill that had several drinks we did not have subtracted. I was told by locals that this is a regular practice since most of the people that stay at Eden Rock(and are no on the EU sanctions list) don’t look at their bills. Enough said…
