Cap 42

On my first visit to Honfleur I must have looked at every restaurant around the basin and then, from exhaustion, settled for one that was OK, but not great.
THIS time we took the first restaurant that looked good, which was Cap 42. And it was excellent. The table settings and menu were an indication of the quality here. My husband had a mushroom galette that he said was better than any he has eaten in Paris. I snuck a bite and he was right, especially about the pancake itself. Crispy, fresh and delicious. You could taste the quality of the wheat and the dough-​making.
I chose my usual, which is a big bowl of mussels with garlic and cream. The mussels were fresh and the garlic and cream were fragrant. I never make it all the way through a bowl of mussels, but in this case I did my level best. The Samur Champigny red wine was a perfect accompaniment to both our meals. Service was graciously correct.

Belle terrasse, personnel agréable. Et vue sur le port d’Honfleur très jolie. Cuisine convenable. Mais pourrait être mieux. Les frites «maison» sont bonnes mais froides. Dommage. Les prix sont raisonnables. Toilette exigue.

Restaurant sympathique. Accueille agréable et personnel serviable et sympathique. Le plateau de fruits de mer était correct, sans plus mais en corrélation avec le prix très abordable. Mon épouse a adoré ses moules marinières avec leur sauce à l’ail. Mon fils a aimer son hamburger très copieux et parfaitement garni. Les frites semblaient surgelées. Dessert parfait. Une adresse à conserver.

Absolutely fantastic! My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal sitting out under the awning as the rain thundered down into the harbour. This small restaurant sits looking out over the harbour /​marina in Honfleur… an area where there are numerous other eateries. I’d get here early or book ahead though because Cap 42 fills up fast with good reason. The staff are polite and helpful and food is brilliant. A delightful mountain of mussels is a particularly good option, as is the beef burger. Just make sure that you leave some space for dessert… the profiteroles or slab of chocolate cake both have to be considered if not ordered.
Overall a great little venue with fantastic food at very reasonable prices!

Great atmosphere, wonderful crepes. You cannot beat the view. There are 100 places around Cap 42… chose this place. Get the mussels, very large portion for a great price 12 € that includes chips.

Bien évidemment, manger en terrasse sur le cap 42 au bord du port d’Honfleur est très agréable. Le service est satisfaisant et le rapport qualité/​lieu/​prix est correct mais né venez pas chercher ici quelque chose d’exceptionnelle juste un restaurant classique avec une carte toute aussi classique.
Pour ma part, nous avons partagé une entrée «rillettes de poisson» (simple et bon) + des moules frites (fraîches et les frites maisons) + un café gourmand. Rien a redire pour une note totale de 52 €

Un menu à 15 euros avec entrée, plat, dessert.
La soupe de poisson en entrée n est pas industrielle et est excellente!
Même avec le prix abordable du menu, le serveur a accepté sans hésiter à le modifier afin de nous satisfaire.
Si sur ce quai plein de restaurants vous né savez pas où vous arrêtez, vous pouvez y aller sans souci. Vous passerez un bon moment.
