Had dinner here. Fun heated outdoor seating area. Wait staff great with English. Great food, wine was good too. Good spot for people watching during the evenings.

I had the most amazing service and meal here! I got the fish soup and was blown away by the complex flavors and textures. I highly recommend it. My waiter was so kind and knew I was traveling(obviously a tourist) and brought me a guide book and asked me back for the next time I visit Nice. I plan on coming back!

This place was amazing! High quality food! Really tasty. The stuffed pork(stuffed with vegetables) was so good. Stuffed veggies(stuffed with meat) so good, should of ordered a whole order, not half. Great service despite the fact that it was packed. Nice location. Local recommended we go there.

Loved! We can’t stop thinking about the perfect, tender meat in the stew and the simple pesto pasta. Salads were on point too! If I was staying longer in Nice, I would have gone back!

This restaurant was highly recommended by our Tour Guide. She said it is quite common to order several things and share. When we arrived there were many open tables. When we were asked where we wanted to sit we walked over to a table for two and the hostile lead waiter said no and walked away from us.(It was a table for two where we were wanting to sit, so not taking up a table for four!) Frustrated we weren’t sure what to do and he came back to us and pointed to other tables that were not where we wanted to be. After sitting where he wanted us to be we were asked by our server if we were ready to order. We ordered two things and said we were going to share. Our server, acting annoyed said she would have to ask. walked over to the angry waiter, he looked at us and shook his head no. We had to order another first course salad… we felt uncomfortable with the anger in the air… Seems sharing is only for the locals. we felt very discriminated. However, when the food arrived, it was wonderful. Petites Farcis were perfect, daub Bourguignon was tender and delicious and was served over delicate spinach and cheese ravioli accompanied with a rich beef reduction… if the servers could only get over themselves, it would have been a perfect evening.

I wouldn’t say the service was good, which is different from many other reviews. The staff were way too busy to notice the needs of every table. And they seemed friendly only to the regular. The food was not that bad but compared to its price, I just don’t think it’s worth it. Won’t recommend to friends.

We had our last dinner in Nice here. The service was great and the staff was working hard. The wine selection was not as robust, but the food was great! I had the risotto which was great with two massive shrimp. My wife had the gnocchi which was well prepared but we didn’t think as good as the risotto. Our waitress spoke fantastic English, but I don’t know if that holds true for the rest of the staff. The calamari was great! Desert here was average but when we ordered a crème brûlée and they said they were out the waitress went to another restaurant and got us one! Thanks for the great experience!

I love the meals here. They are focused on «cuisine de la région» so this from Nice town and Provence Region. All I have eaten is tasty and I can recommend it to anyone. Only the staff is sometimes to slow even when there was no crowd.

This place is conveniently next to the market full of antiques and used goods. Good view, I suppose. It’s also about a block from the beach. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the wait from getting seated to ordering to the food actually arriving was about an hour or more. Maybe it’s just how they typically eat in France, but we were definitely impatient. Also, we had so much left over since we couldn’t finish and we asked them to box it. They took our plates to the back and said they don’t do boxes. I was so frustrated since there were so much left over, but they were kind enough to accommodate us in the end. I got the shrimp scampi pasta and man! It was so good! Authentic and yummy!

Located overlooking the flower market, Le Safari was just not up to the hype I had heard and read about it. While the servers were very accommodating– the food just wasn’t good and with so many places competing for my money, I wish I had spent it somewhere else. We went with a larger sized group and given we had reservations, we were seated on the patio right away. This was the best part of the evening as we could people watch to our hearts content. The wine was quite good so that was a plus. But the appetizer plate which was a combo of a few things including a really bitter undercooked artichoke salad. I had some kind of beef stew served over ravioli and one in our group had the lamb chops. The lamb chops were not of high quality(a bit stringy) and my beef stew was also tasteless. And for dessert– my apple tartin was bland and soggy– all I all not a great experience. If you go– try something else on the menu as the steak and frites the next table over was enjoying looked pretty good. Nice accommodating servers– too bad the food wasn’t as good.

The food and location is good. However, they put water in our bottle the house Rose. It was so obvious. We told them about it(after we got our food of course) and they replaced it. For a restaurant in a very touristy area, one would think they would be more tolerable of visitors.

We got the black(from squid ink) spaghetti seafood dish for lunch. These dishes were huge so we split it and they had no issues. Location was superb and waitstaff was excellent. The dishes and wine were excellent. I would be coming back to this place.

We got a table in the middle of the road outside of the restaurant — and we thought that the waiter will forget us amongst the crowd. Surprisingly, he was attentive, did not get our order wrong, and took care of us. The lamb here was heavenly and the fish soup was good too. I had the fixed price menu that I had 4 choices each for a 2 course meal(plus one desert). The price was more than reasonable. Good food, good atmosphere, and good price — how can you beat that! PS. the wine is cheaper than coke… go for the wine!

Delicious, authentic taste of what French Riviera cooking should be. There are a lot of touristy restaurants in this part of Nice, but this was my favorite restuarant while on my own dime(not work’s). I had a delicious local fish —(I’m not able to recall the name) tender, flakey and flavorful white fish and the portion was quite generous. My waiter was running around like crazy — he was left solo to take care of about 12 tables outside. He did a fantastic job, and never forgot about my table for one. Everything on the menu sounded good, and the surrounding tables’ food made me wish I had a bigger appetite. If I find myself in Nice again, I will make it a point to have a meal here.

An excellent address when you are in the Old Nice for a real taste of the cuisine Nicoise. I have never been desapointed by the food there. The products are always fresh and well prepared. The Merda di Can are great. So are the gnocchi. If you have the chance to have grilled squid and purple artichokes or Monkfish a la Nicoise on plat du jour … Go for it ! Good wine selection. Great service. Nothing to say really, but good things.

Possibly the best restaurant on the Cours Saleya(though we didn’t by any means go to them all). There are a lot of tourist traps around that area, but Safari is a real find. It has genuinely good quality French food(and indeed, a lot of French customers when we were there) and excellent Italian food if you want a break from French food. The service was a little slow, but all part of the atmosphere.
