The Rue St Louis en I’ile is a lovely place to walk down and shop. It was a quite warm day so we stopped in for the famed Amorino gelato. They sculpt your gelato into beautiful rose shaped cones. You simply pick your size and you can get as many flavors as you want. Each flavor becomes a rose petal. I had the Tahitian vanilla, strawberry, and crunchy caramel. All three were delicious!

The servers were very nice! I asked how many flavors I could get for a medium sized cone and the said«as many as you want» so that they could customize the rose for me. I ended up getting about six flavors: chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, yogurt, banana, and mango. It was delicious. The consistency is somewhat between gelato and ice cream, so it wasn’t too thick, and the ice cream was nicely designed.(very instagrammable!) The price was about 6 euros for this though, but well worth it in my opinion if you’re already enjoying yourself in Paris.

Fell in love with the gelato here and even more so with the«flower petals» shaped gelato served on a cone. You choose the size of your ice-cream and then you can pick several flavors. In fact, picking more than one flavor will make the«flower petals» prettier! I got the amareno(candied cherries and vanilla custard) and pistache flavors. The gelato was creamy, thick, and excellent.

There was a huge wait at Berthillion just down the road, so I popped into Amorino instead. The staff was super friendly and helpful. After browsing the selection, I decided on a small cone with both raspberry and mango gelato. They shape it into a rose, and it turned out beautifully! And the flavour? Some of the best gelato I’ve ever had. The raspberry was very good and fresh, but the mango was exquisite. Seriously. I could bathe in that stuff. Definitely well worth the(somewhat high) price. Now, if only I could stay in Paris to get Amorino whenever I wanted it…

Mon dieu les glaces Amorino sont extraordinaires. Toutes.

lap. lap. lap. mmmmmmmmmmm. miam. miam. miam.

Delicious gelato — lots of amazing flavors and you can have as many as you want! You just tell them how many while they are making your cup or cone. The Nutella flavor(l’inimitabile?) is my favorite but the salted caramel is also great, as is the very dark chocolate. I need to compare to Berthillion — haven’t made it there yet since they close early — but definitely love Amorino!
