I was midway through my meal, when a dog ran under the tables (which are so close together),& sat on my feet. I Am Highly Allergic To Dog Hair & Dander. I had to pay & leave without finishing my lunch! Please state if you allow dogs! The food was ’ nouvelle cuisine ‘, ie small but tasty!

Pas vraiment un bistrot parisien pour l’ambiance mais des plats du jour frais et très bons. Pris ce jour: un parmentier d’agneau patates douces, deux verres de vin et un café. Addition: 37 €. Prix tout à fait correct en rapport avec la qualité du plat. Bonne adresse

This restaurant was really good French food and excellent service just 2 short blocks off the beautiful Pl Vosges. It is a small intimate hole in the wall, best described as a very tastefully furnished shotgun shack. Traveling with two boys, 12 (1 who is a picky eater), we weren’t going out for fine French dining like we would on our own, but we were trying to go out to good restaurants. We were staying near Pl. Bastille on the nearby Beaumarchais, and I had noted the reasonably priced fixed menus on the board outside while looking for a place to get coffee when we first arrived, so when we didn’t like the looks of a nearby place our hotel concierge recommended, we dropped by to check it out. On arrival at around 7 it was full of mainly French diners, and when I inquired, the waiter looked around and said he would probably have a table in half an hour. We went down to the beautiful Pl Vosges and had a glass of wine. When we returned, there was no table available. But the waiter explained, «The gentleman decided to have an armagnac, what can I say? May I offer you a glass of wine on the house?» By the time we were done drinking the wine on the sidewalk, a table was ready. My adventurous son had the snails, sans sauce, in a delicious thin broth sauce (which he inhaled with gusto, giving me one which was delicious), my wife the chilled asparagus soup, and I a pâté for starters. Then wife and the snail eater had guinea foul stew (like a coq a vin) and I had a duck stew that was similar to a cassoulet. Picky kid had bread and a cheese platter. All was delicious. I can’t remember what the deserts were (mine was a delicious custard type thing), but we all liked what we had.
The service was very attentive despite just one waiter for the room of maybe 10 tables. The only glitch was that my wife had ordered a champagne cocktail (from the apéritif section) or arrival, and the waiter list track of it. He remembered towards the end of the meal, was very embarrassed and apologetic, and bringing it over said to my wife, «I am very sorry. You wanted this at the beginning. If you would still like it, it is offered [free]» On the way out, he pulled me aside and apologized for the lapse in service and its pace, which he felt was a bit slow. Apparently he normally would have had a second assistant waiter who was sick that night. I had already left a fairly generous tip because as it was it was among the more attentive wait staff experiences we had had up to that point in Paris. The waiter’s English was limited and my French much worse, but everything was very polite and worked through in a very positive manner that on one hand seemed very French in that there seemed to be an idea of a right way of dining, but not at all irritable or condescending. I can’t imagine what things are like normally.
I only give 5 stars to places that are amazing for their price point of really gourmand restaurants, so 4 stars is a high rating for me. I feel we really lucked into a table there and if in Paris I would return again just to eat even if I wasn’t staying there and had no other reason to visit the area. But I would definitely make a reservation.

We had enjoyed dinner here several times over the past 5 years and enjoyed the experience. Based on tonight’s dinner I would assume there are new owners. The waiter appeared to be «in training» and the food was marginal at best. Left a bad taste in my mouth. A huge disappointment and would have passed eating until breakfast if I had know what to expect.

Das Essen ist hervorragen. Wir hatten ein Boeuf tartare, und einen geschmorten Ochsenschwanz mit blanchiertem Paprika. Das Lokal ist klein und gemütlich und wirklich zu empfehlen. Punktabzüge gibt es für den lustlosen Service.

Was husband’s birthday and I needed a low key, but good food place to celebrate his birthday. Perfect atmosphere. The Manager, who is from Tunisia speaks English and was super helpful (I’m a bit hesitant with my French while husband is fluent). The food was wonderful, actually, perfect for what we had in mind. We came away with a great experience!

Amazing staff — and btw they speak English; I asked how my server learned, he said listening to soul music in Tunisia including early Michael Jackson — so on that we bonded. My family in Europe recommended this establishment… and I loved it. Nice, quiet restaurant behind places de Vosges with an ambitious menu. We loved the cassoulet and our fish mains. We will be back!
Also very quiet and romantic

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern hier und alle total begeistert. Ein authentisches kleines Bistro mit sehr aufmerksamen, freundlichen Kellnern. Wir Erwachsene haben alle Speisen (3 Gänge) von der Tageskarte bestellt. Der Kellner hat jedes Gericht erklärt und hätte sogar neben französisch noch englisch, italienisch und spanisch im Angebot gehabt. Da es keine Kinderkarte gab waren wir ein wenig hilflos, was für unsere beiden Kinder bestellt werden kann. Der Kellner meinte, dass die Ente bei den Kids sehr beliebt wäre und tatsächlich wurde diese von unseren (sonst sehr wählerischen) Mädels komplett aufgegessen. Auch die Gänge von uns Erwachsenen waren ein Gedicht. Heftig sind allerdings die Preise der nicht alkoholischen Getränke (eine kleine Orangina für 5 Euro!), aber das kennt man ja von Paris.
Wir würden das Bistro sofort wieder besuchen!

Si manger serré et de bonne heure (si vous n’avez pas réservé) né vous rebute pas, essayez cette Baracane et vous serez conquis par la cuisine qui y est servie, son bon rapport qualité-​prix et ses propositions en vins. L’ardoise évolue en fonction du marché mais de nombreux plats y figurent depuis longtemps, avec un égal bonheur.

THE bistrot
En plein coeur du marais, un bistrot comme on les aime ! La cuisine y est délicieuse, le service + que sympa, et on s’y retrouve sur l’addition. Avis aux amateurs de french cuisine et bistrots typiquement parisiens, nous on a bien envie d’en faire notre QG.

Auf Empfehlung des Reiseführers haben wir den einen Abend im Bistrot de L’oulette gegessen. Generell muß man sagen, dass der Reiseführer als grundsätzliche Empfehlung gerne Restauarants genannt hat, die von Einheimischen frequentiert werden. Was einerseits positiv ist, andererseits insbesondere etwas außerhalb dazu führt, dass manchmal seitens der Bedienung wenig bis kein Englisch gesprochen wird. Und na ja, mein Französsich ist auch nicht das Beste. Dieses Problem ergab sich im l’oublette nicht, da es durch die Lage zwischen Bastille und Place des Vosges doch auch Touristen anzieht.
Positiv auch anzumerken: das Bistrot de l’oublette, zu dem es in Paris noch zwei andere Restaurants gibt, hat sein Essensangebot auf der Homepage und im Vergleich zu anderen Lokalitäten war es aktuell.
Das Bistrot ist ein langgezogener Schlauch, auf dem man geradeaus schauend dem maître de cuisine ein wenig bei der Arbeit zuschauen konnte. Das mit dem Schlauch fand ich jetzt nicht so prickelnd, aber der Reiseführer lobte ja das Essen, das südfranzösisch angehaucht sein sollte. So entschieden wir uns für das Menue mit entrée, plat und dessert für 33 EUR. Bei den Weinen ging es auch bei rund 22 EUR die Flasche los und wir bestellten den Fronton für 25 EUR.
Vorweg wählten wir die Melone bzw. den Lachs im Sesammantel. Beides ausgezeichnet. Im Hauptgang wählten wir die exakt rosa auf den Punkt zubereitete Confit de canard, und auch das mitgelieferte Kartoffelgratin war ein Gedicht. Super leicht und lecker. Zum nachtisch gab es noch die Suppe aus weißer Schokolade mit Passionsfrüchten und das Schokoküchlein, gefüllt mit warmer Schokosauce und einem Herz aus Himbeere. Abgerundet hat das Essen dann noch ein Kaffee für 2,80 EUR.
Der Kellner Gerard wurde auch zunehmend lockerer, als er gemerkt hat, dass die beiden Deutschen durchaus von der Cuisine begeistert waren und das eine oder andere mal die Vokabel formidable benutzten!
Fazit: gute (süd)-französische Küche, kann ich wirklich empfehlen!

J’aimerais y retourner plus souvent !
Un restaurant intimiste où déguster tranquillement mets et vins délicieux… Ca donne envie de revenir ! En plus, le patron volubile vous explique le contenu de chacun de ses plats en passant tant par les saveurs, les textures, les ingrédients… Bref, on en redemande ! Quand est-​ce qu’on y retourne?

Une cuisine du Sud-​Ouest assez inventive qui a perdu un peu de sa superbe. Ca reste correct pour le quartier. Le confit de canard au gratin de pommes de terre étaient corrects. Les vins très sympathiques. J’ai apprécié l’ambiance bon enfant des lieux. Je reviendrai à l’occasion.

Je reviens au bistrot de l’Oulette que je n’avais pas fréquenté depuis au moins 6 ou 7 ans. Il faut dire qu’il y a de quoi faire dans le quartier… et je n’y retrouve pas l’esprit d’alors, même si l’extérieur n’a pas changé, la déco de la salle est quasi intacte…
L’accueil est chaleureux, les plats arrivent sans tarder mais l’esprit Sud Ouest n’est plus le même. Que dire: il n’y a plus ce grouillement dans la salle, ce joli brouhaha des conversations qui s’enmêlent…
La cuisine est bonne, d’un bon rapport qualité prix (menu plat + dessert 26EUR le soir: tout à fait honnête pour le quartier) mais elle n’est plus aussi typique, aussi excellente… Le magret de canard est quelconque, la pintade au vin rouge plus typée mais la part est minuscule…
Suis-​je nostalgique? J’y retournerai une autre fois pour assurer mes impressions.

Resto sympa
Une bonne adresse à côté de Bastille, l’accueil est très sympa et le contenu de l’assiette très honorable, sans être trés original… jolie carte des vins qui né tape pas trop. Mieux vaut réserver, c’est souvent plein !

Le bistrot a conseiller.
Nous avons fêté le Beaujolais dans ce petit bistrot (30 couverts) que nous né connaissions pas. L’ambiance est très agréable, le patron sympathique et le chef en cuisine est (du terroir) français. Le menu est orienté terroir et les plats testés furent excellents. Je me rappelle encore du cassoulet au confit de canard et aux gésiers excellents. A refaire. A noter, la forte présence d’anglophones, assez rigolo. Nicolas

Ce restaurant proposant une cuisine du sud ouest et globalement nous avons été plutôt satisfait par les produits proposés et le vin. Le rapport qualité prix est dans la norme du quartier.
J’ai aimé: La qualité des vins. Les explications des plats et l’aide pour le choix du vin. L’ambiance.

Très bonne adresse
Une carte originale présentée par le patron gourmet avisé qui explique les moindres détails de chaque plat. Très bon connaisseur des vins qu’il présente de façon gourmande et compétente. Magnifique foie gras. Poisson moelleux. Cassoulet goûteux. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Addition raisonnable.

Du bohneur !
Cet endroit est un pur plaisir: on y est toujours très bien reçu et les plats sont divins, pour un prix très correct. C’est petit (il est donc conseillé de réserver), intimiste et chaleureux. La cave à vin est superbe et on est toujours très bien conseillé. Une de nos meilleurs adresses !

Très bien sur tous les plans
J’y suis allé pour dîner avec un ami. Accueil très sympathique. Nous avons tous deux opté pour le menu à 34 euros avec entrée plat dessert. Rien à redire sur le service et encore moins sur la qualité du contenu des assiettes. Les quantités né sont pas énormes mais on né ressort pas pour autant frustré et la qualité des plats compense très largement les portions. Les desserts né sont pas à négliger. J’ai choisi le fondant chocolat au coeur de framboise: un délice. La carte des vins comporte un choix varié avec des prix très raisonnables. Pour ceux et celles qui né s’y connaissent pas, pas d’inquiétude vous serez guidés par celui des membres de l’équipe qui connaît parfaitement la carte des vins et qui né vous pousse pas vers la bouteille la plus chère. En conclusion: j’y retournerai avec plaisir.
