This café was quite nice. We stopped by one night for a few drinks and some people watching. Menus are available in English and staff is super friendly. Our waitress, once she discovered we are American, gave us multiple suggestions for places to see and go to in the city. She was very sweet and helpful.

I love this place. It is a cool local hangout. They play trendy music and the crowd is young and hip. The wait staff Is VERY nice, accomodating, and attentive. The prices are also reasonable especially for the 7ieme. I would give it 6 stars.

This café is very hip, and the food was great! I loved the atmosphere, it had trendy music and cool vibes. I definitely recommend the French onion soup, it was delicious!

A good vibrant crowd and location, some comfy chairs indoors, but little else to recommend it.

I am only giving 3 stars because the food was good. The service was poor… And rude. Not just being a disgruntled American either. We were deliberately ignored when asking for our check to pay… In fact we waited over 20 minutes. It’s a good spot to people watch if cigarette smoke doesn’t bother you. For us, it did. The patio is not ventilated at all so you just kind of stew in it. They do have an «English menu» which was nice for us, but again, our server was so rude that I prefer elsewhere just because I didn’t enjoy being made to feel intrusive.

Quick service. Our waiter, Olivier, was outstanding! Sweet, professional, friendly and fast. Food was well priced, my salmon sandwich was tasty albeit a little soggy, and my daughter deemed her Croq Monsieur the best lunch she’s ever had, fries and salads were good all around. Caesar salad was very disappointing: tasteless white, dry meat atop bad(iceberg) lettuce, some boiled egg and not much flavor. Beware though, soft drinks are outrageously priced. A small or angina cost us € 5.20 each! These are less than € 1:00 in the store so the mark-up is just predatory.

Food was nothing special and wasn’t great. The woman working there was very rude to us and wouldn’t let us sit in a chair and gave us a stool. Service wasn’t great either.

Adored this place. My boyfriend and I were walking to Eiffel and stopped off here for a bite to eat. The ambience was exactly what I like in a bar, combined with the wonderful Parisian open feel. After reading some of the other reviews, I can say with certainty to order French food. Do not go to French restaurant and expect them to specialize in your American palate, people. Branch out! The Onion Soup is absolutely to die for, and the salmon was very fresh. The cocktails we had were very enjoyable. Like mimosas? Like Amaretto? Try them together in a Disaronno Royal! Absolutely perfect beverage for a warm Spring day. Bottom line: if you are looking for something in the Eiffel area, the prices are reasonable considering how tourist-y the area is, and the service, food, and beverage did not disappoint!

We had a pleasant time on our last night in Paris with good food and drinks on this place. To top it all… we enjoyed the excellent service of Christopher. Thanks for the experience :)

After a brief visit at this lovely venue, me and my friend were quite pleased. The complimentary wasabi nuts was a treat, and the gin and tonic was spot on. However, my friend ordered the gin martini from the menu and the waiter gave us some of a surprised look before he confirmed our order by asking her again if that was truly what she wanted. Almost as if the waiter did not know it was on their cocktail menu. When we got our drinks, the gin martini was disappointing and had a sour reminiscence of the Australian ‘pimms’… On another note, the vibe was good and the experience was all in all quite good.

The location is excellent. The food was ok. We had sandwiches with fries and salad. I had a salmon sandwich which was good, but missing taste. My husband had a Monsieur sandwich, which was supposed to have cheese and ham. We couldn’t find the ham, but the cheese was delicious. The greens in our small salads didn’t seem too fresh. The prices are fair since it is located in a touristy area close to the Eiffel Tower.

Great for a drink. The complete opposite in terms of food. Service was good. Outdoor music was pleasant. Food was unfortunately hands down the worst meal I’ve had in Paris. The foie gras was flavorless and the Caesar salad dressing tasted like butter.

Restaurant and café are average. The prices do show that they are close to the Eiffel Tower and count on tourists on their easy to the close Metro station. Nothing wrong with food or service also nothing special. Nice are the pictures inside. They show military officers with dog heads.

Terrible. Service was slow, and not in the acceptable French way. A couple of parties walked out after sitting for ten minutes without service. We asked if the hot chocolate was with milk, they said yes(all in French) it tasted barely like water. Tourist crap.

Café Des Officiers certainly isn’t among the crème de la crème of Parisian brasseries, but it’s a great place to stop while touristing around the Eiffel Tower. It’s situated on a bustling intersection, making it a prime spot for people-watching(okay, more like tourist-watching). And because it’s located in such a heavily-touristed area, expect inflated prices and average food. So, in short, sweet summary: you may pay 5EUR for a café crème, but when you’re in dire need of wi-fi Café Des Officiers delivers robustly and for free. Otherwise — there’s much better food to be found in Paris. And that’s all she wrote!

I’m not sure whether it was because we were American or if it was because the waiter was just overwhelmed, but I have never gotten worse service. It took an hour for us to get our drinks(two glasses of wine) and another hour for our food. To add insult to injury the food was cold and was actually uneatable. We had to go next door to actually get some palatable food. Never again…

It’s in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Of course it’s going to be pricey and service somewhat lacking. But what did you expect? If you can put that to one side, it’s not that bad. The burger I had was actually very good — it was clearly made from minced steak and had all the trimmings just right. Great for people watching. That being said, a pint of beer will set you back £9. Probably best to stick to the water here.

A classic Brasserie — with great people watching and a view of the Eiffel Tower. We visited here a several times during our week in Paris for meals and night caps. They stay open until 2 am and it’s quite the hot spot in the evenings. The croque madame is especially good for brunch. Their frites are crisp and tasty. On the last day of our trip we spent 3 hours having lunch, watching the world go by. They never rushed us. They didn’t ask what we wanted for an entrée until after our apertifs were done. We had a wonderful plate of apricots, pâté and date jam with fresh baguette. For the main course we had chicken and the plat du jour, which was a lovely beef dish. Order the house wine by the carafe; it’s quite good and saves a lot of money compared to a bottle of wine. They waited until after we’d finished our wine to get our desert and coffee order. We had a decadent chocolate torte with berries on the side and a fruit purée drizzled on top. The coffee is thick and strong the way it’s supposed to be. We finished with digestifs, and watched as Paris walked by. The service is pleasant, the food is good, and the people watching is excellent. We’ll go back next time we’re in Paris.

Great place for Americans to start their French dining experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Menu was in both French and English. The restaurant is on a fairly busy intersection so lots of traffic and people watching on the terrace. My wife ordered a ‘sandwich’ that came out looking a bit more like a pizza: ham, cheese melted over bread topped with a fried egg. She said it was amazing. I had a sandwich of chicken ‘chest’(thin sliced chicken breast about 2x the thickness of deli meat) and what made it amazing was the cheese and sauce. Each of our orders came with a salad(lightly dressed and very fresh) and pomme frites(very well cooked, similar to American French fries but at the same time cooked a touch lighter but thoroughly). It was an excellent place to start our trip to Paris and ease into the culture, especially after only a couple hours of sleep on the redeye over. The only thing to really complain about was the price. It’s a little inflated for sandwiches. Our total came to $ 40 E with the two sandwiches, a glass of bordeaux, and a diet coke($ 5.20E = $ 7 U. S!!!)

Great place to sit down and have a drink and/or bite to eat and just relax. Open really late and serving food at all times, this Café is a convenient meeting point. Menu is available in English and most servants speak enough to get your point across. They even have Corona! The terrace provides ample people watching.
