La Terrasse du 7eme

Brasserie bien située et classe. Je n’y ai été que pour un café (2,90 €, outch) mais service correct. J’y reviendrai peut-​être pour manger et confirmer ma bonne impression !

Une brasserie super sympa et très bien située avec sa grande terrasse qui donne sur l’Ecole Militaire.
La salle est grande, c’est confortable, on est installé sur des fauteuils ou des canapés en velours rouge. L’étage est constitué d’une salle privatisable pour des évènements.
Le service est sympa, un peu long peut-​être. J’ai pris un dos de cabillaud avec des petits légumes c’était très bon, les légumes bien croquants. Niveau tarif c’est un peu élevé (17,8 €) comme dans toute brasserie parisienne bien en vue mais au moins c’est vraiment bon ! Les desserts ont l’air pas mal du tout aussi.
En somme une brasserie parisienne un peu chère mais avec de bons plats.

Found this on a Paris guidebook, and we couldn’t have been more disappointed. The menu was limited, the ambiance beckoned TGI Fridays, and the Caesar salad looked as though it came from a middle school cafeteria — the most iceberg looking romaine we’ve ever seen, no Parmesan or anchovies, and the greens swam in what could best be described as institutional dressing. This review may be limited given our early departure, but I wouldn’t go back – even if the meal was free. It’s Paris and we’ve had better food in rural parts of the U.S.

The location of restaurant just great, right next to the metro station, it’s surly easy to find. And it really close to the landmark of Paris, Eiffel Tower. For the people who want to visit the tower or just finished, it’s quite a nice choice. The restaurant is quite big as well, it got a really nice atmosphere. It did give me a feeling that I am in paris, which I was.
Let’s talk about the food. I order a dish of rumpsteak, i ordered it well done, but i got maybe 70 — 80% done. Well, I don’t really mind anyway, at the end is about the taste. The steak tasted quite nice, just feel like it could more, the french fries which came with the order didn’t convince me at all. It tasted so light, luckily got some salt right to me. I already tasted serval places, it got similar problem with the fires. Maybe that just how the really French fires like. My coffee was alright. I saw some cool dishes on the menu, probably wil give it a try next time when I am around.
The price of this place is reasonable enough. And the service was quite nice as well. If they didn’t respond you at first, it just mean they have other costumers to sever first, just stay calm and wait, they will get back to you a moment later.

Auf dem Weg zum wohl berühmtesten Wahrzeichen der Welt plagte uns ein mittägliches Hüngerchen und wir kehrten hier ein.
Als die Restaurantfachleute merkten, dass wir keine einheimischen Gäste sind, leider spreche ich kein Französisch und musste daher mit Englisch kommunizieren, bekamen wir deutlich die allzu bekannte französische Abneigung gegenüber ausländischen Touristen zu spüren. Eher wenig professionell…
Das Essen war okay, obschon ich erwartet habe, dass die Pommes (French Fries) in Paris wohl besser schmecken sollten, als sonst wo auf der Welt. Diese Erwartung wurde gründlich enttäuscht. Labbrig und fad warns…
Wir aßen, tranken, bezahlten und gingen wieder. Denn wir wollten hier ja nicht den gesamten Tag verbringen, schließlich es gab noch viel mehr zu sehen.

Excellent people watching. Perfect location.
Solid bistro food.
Nice service & most servers speak English. Menu is easy to navigate. The avocado salad was literally a whole avocado halved w Dijon vinegarette, decent onion soup but there’s much better in Paris, good escargot, & great bread, solid coffee, and good wine list. It’s really a no brainier. If you are staying in this neighborhood you will make this your home away from home between tourist boot camp. It’s the perfect Pariasian respite.

Ate breakfast and dinner there, had to return as that good, excellent service and amazing coffee. A must visit if near the Eiffel Tower.

Best place in the borough ! Good and fresh food, nice waiters, nice decoration and the price are not that expensive for the 7^th !

Tried the restaurant for convenience to our hotel but was pleasantly surprised by the decent food they served. Had the Niçoise salad and cheeseburger with pomme frites. Both were memorable. Burger was perfectly grilled with a slight savory sweet drizzle of sauce (or is it gravy?) that went well with the cheese and crisp veggies. Salad was perfectly dressed. Downed both with a glass of 1664 beer and voila! Dessert was superb too by the way. Mini crème brûlée and chocolate cake with a shot of espresso was the perfect cap to a nice and relaxed dinner.

Stopped in for a quick coffee. The server spoke English, which was super helpful. BF and I both ordered a coffee. I love the little cookies that come with them. Decent coffee for sure. Fu to watch the people coming and going outside.

On a busy corner of Ecole Militarie metro this place is a people watching spot. You are close enough to the Eiffel Tower to get a pic from it on the second floor.

We came here because of a recommendation found in a guide book. Great ambience, and good for people watching. Plenty of outdoor and open air seating. I loved the house special chicken with chocolate sauce (not sweet chocolate like on a ice cream sunday). The house wine was excellent. It’s Paris, so expect people to smoke around you. Recommended if you will be around Ecole Militaire.

Convenient location just outside the Ecole Militaire Metro exit. Perfect sidewalk café for a late night meal or snack. We sat outside enjoying our escargot and sipped on a nice bottle of wine with the locals. Did we happen to mention we REALLY enjoyed the escargot? Make sure to order some for your table!

Be prepared for the possibility of having a server call you «une vache» simply for asking for the menu.
Many French are the most wonderful people. Except it seems at this restaurant. Salut!

We ate here twice while staying in Paris– once for breakfast and one for dinner because we had such a crappy one down the street (read below review).
This is one of the nicer cafes, no doubt because of its tourist-​friendly location, but their chairs inside were red, super plush, and super comfortable. I was sold! The waiters were nice guys and English-​friendly. Great location for people watching too
Their croque monsier was still the best I had in Paris, and croque monsier is one of my fave french foods. It was simply done, but packed with so much great flavor and the cheese on top was perfectly broiled.
Their omelette also was the best omelette my husband had the whole trip, and while it was also simply done with ham and cheese, it was fluffy and light and had good flavor too.
When we returned a few nights later for dinner, we were seated on their plushy couches. Score! Their onion soup was really good, but the sauce for their pepper steak was amazing. I couldn’t stop using the fries to soak up the sauce. Their dessert was amazing too, homemade pastry and super filled with cream.
I know their prices are jacked up, probably because of their easy appeal to tourists, but their food and service doesn’t disappoint, and we had great experiences both times we were there.

We arrived after eating at Le Royal. We were looking for dessert and got dessert. We didn’t see any host so we sat down outside where we were greeted shortly. It was nice to sit outside and just people watch while eating a crêpe, caramel ice cream, and crème brûlée.
Our servers changed several times, but they were all nice.

The service is spectacular! My bf and I had a very attentive and nice waiter! The onion soup was amazing! I ordered the Madame croque but I can’t say that I liked it. It’s a little too cheesy for me. I def recommend this place though, they open late and pretty reasonable prices. My bf ordered steak and he was a happy camper!

Haven’t tried their food, the drinks were good. Ideal spot for a people watching when sitting outside.

The food didn’t blow us away (steak au poivre, quiche, croque Monsieur), but the servers were very pleasant and attentive. We idled for 2 hours at an outside table and watched all manner of people stroll by. It was a nice respite before we walked up to the Eiffel Tower.

The location is great (just outside the Ecole Militaire Metro) and the French Onion Soup was maybe the best I had in all that I tried those two, chilly weeks in March. Wonderfully, they’re open late — even later than Café Central on Rue Cler. The red velvet couches are a beautiful accent on a late night.

Super bien situé et grande terrasse! On a déjeuné à l’étage, il y de grandes baies vitrées et un super point de vue. Donc si vous n’avez pas de place en terrasse tentez cet espace qui est très rafiné. Belles tables en bois avec des fleurs fraîches !!! Coté carte, c’était juste délicieux. Les salades sont remastérisées pr le grand plaisir des papilles. C’est juste super frais et tout est de qualité: pain, huile d’olive… Spécial ++ pr le tartare de saumon! Le service est parfait, beaux jeunes hommes en costumes bien taillés et très sympathique. ;-))) les prix sont très honnêtes aux vues de la qualité et de l’emplacement. J’y retournerai c’est sûr !!!

We had the cockiest, sassiest, boldest waiter who held a 10-​second long staring contest with me right before he set down the main course. Later that night my mom accidentally dropped her knife with a huge clatter and whoosh, he instantly appeared with a new one. And after she flagged him down again he asked, «Want to drop another knife?» So funny. But I don’t know his name.
We came here with the Rick Steves tour and everything was delicious — tuna salad, chicken skewers (fragrant but dry), and chocolate cake/​crème brûlée. This was one of those nights you don’t leave any food over because you feel bad wasting such delicious fare.
I advise you to avoid window seating in winter — it is a bit drafty. I want to drop by for breakfast — maybe it will be interesting as well!

i pretty much love most cafes or brasserie in paris. I love i can sit outside and people watch while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
we were on our wait to Les Cocottes but we still have time till it opens, so we stopped at the first restaurant we see and it was: La Terrasse for some snacks. I ordered a french onion soup and a cup of cappuccino. The french onion soup was really good! the soup was flavorful, lots of onions in the soup. There were two small baguettes loaded with cheese on top — sooo much cheesy gooey goodness!
they provided complimentary tap water.
i kinda wish i stayed here for dinner. Perhaps next time.

Un déjeuner rapide mais excellent. Une clientèle importante ce midi mais le serveur né semblait pas s’en émouvoir pour autant et s’est montré très professionnel et tout aussi efficace! La brandade de morue accompagnée d’une salade (bien assaisonnée!!), était vraiment très bonne et suffisamment copieuse. Quant au pavé il était tendre et moelleux et les frites qui l’accompagnaient semblaient être faites maison. Pour vin, j’avais pris du Chinon en pichet: très bon. Le café gourmande complétait l’ensemble. Cette brasserie est une valeur sûre et je n’y ai jamais eu de mauvaises surprises! Compter 30EUR/​personne en moyenne.

This is such a great spot to dip in, relax with a glass of wine and people watch. Lovely atmosphere with Plush red velvet furniture and a super corner location near a Metro stop. The second level has large windows on all sides that overlook the bustling streets. The food is wonderfully fresh and creatively prepared. Don’t forget to finish your meal with their amazing café gourmand, which is an espresso served with an assortment of mini treats like crème brûlée, chocolate cake… etc.
This restaurant is right around the corner from the Eiffel Tower, so if you find yourself in the neighborhood, don’t waste your time in the touristy cafes or brasseries that are close by and just come here.
The waiters and waitresses are efficient and super charming and speak English.
Get the onion soup and a crème bruele’… It will make you forget how tired your feet are… :-)

Un cadre sympa avec une belle vue sur l’école mili au 1er étage, mais les plats sont peu garnis par rapport aux prix pratiqués.

Une terrasse à noter avant tout pour son emplacement prisé. Les prix des verres restent raisonnables, le service est assez froid mais correct. Le public se prend assez au sérieux.

Bön, c’est bien gentil mais cette brasserie n’a vraiment rien de spécial. On avait l’habitude d’y manger avec mes grands-​parents.
La qualité était excellente dans le restaurant du premier étage.
Ensuite la qualité a baissé de façon drastique.
J’y ai bu un verre de sancerre blanc. Bön, bien frais, très agréable.
Un bon verre de vin mais franchement rien de spéciale.

Une soirée de fin d’été, une longue promenade à travers le Champ de Mars après le diner pour arriver doucement place de l’Ecole Militaire et là, on se pose à La Terrasse, on commande un verre de vin et tout va bien.
La vue est dégagée, tout autant que celle du Costes de l’autre côté de la rue qui vous prendra deux fois plus mais par contre je n’ai jamais diné là alors je né vais pas trop m’avancer.
Les serveurs sont souriants et gentils, je dirais même de bonne humeur et la clientèle beaucoup plus relax.

Si vous vous lassez du célèbre Tourville place de l’Ecole militaire, traversez la rue vous né serez pas déçus ! Tout l’hiver, la Terrasse a installé des places en extérieur, très chauffées, donc très agréable surtout quand il neigeait. Le café est un peu moins jeune que le Tourville mais ce n’est pas plus mal de né pas entendre ses voisines d’à côté parler fort du potin du lycée et de leur folle envie d’avoir la doudoune Bel-​Air parce que tout le monde l’a.
Service impeccable, clientèle huppée et menu entre 30 et 40 euros.
Si vous avez envie d’un bon dessert, courrez-​y pour déguster le mille-​feuille !

Une bonne brasserie
Plats bien exécuté, service plus que correcte et le cadre est charmant. Les produits sont de qualités et les desserts délicieux. Une brasserie parisienne typique avec des prix raisonnables. Pour un déjeuner ou un diner le week-​end c’est parfait!

Un café idéalement situé pour les touristes, avec une très grande terrasse agréable. En revanche, les prix sont élevés (emplacement à côté de la Tour Eiffel oblige) et l’amabilité des serveurs laisse vraiment à désirer.

Essayez le premier !
Si la brasserie du rez-​de-​chaussée est une brasserie parisienne de bonne facture mais tout ce qu’il y a de plus traditionnel, je vous conseille de monter au premier étage de cet établissement pour aller au restaurant «chic». Bien sur les prix suivent mais restent extrêmement raisonnables et surtout la nourriture est extrêmement bonne. Bien cuit, bons fonds de sauces, une touché d’originalité dans certains plats. Bref un bon petit resto pour une bonne petit bouffe… la carte des vins étant tout à fait à la hauteur. Pour ce qui est du service, les deux serveurs sont impayables… Bref un bon p’tit coin bien parisien mais bien sympa.

On en attend pas plus…
Pour manger à 2h du matin en descendant du train y’a vraiment pas à dire, on se sent bien à la terrasse. L’accueil y est ultra pro la nourriture de qualité (en même temps hein une tomate mozza et un steak haché à cheval c’est pas sorcier) les prix raisonnables. Bref pour manger rapide on s’en contente.

Effectivement ce café cumule tous les défauts d’une mauvaise caricature de brasserie parisienne: c’est un endroit bruyant, terriblement cher (5 euros le kir après 22h), à la déco peu intimiste… Mais ça ce n’est pas le pire: le point fort de ce café est avant tout son service déplorable: ¾ d’heure d’attente avant de pouvoir passer commande (même en se manifestant à 3 reprises), et des serveurs odieux: désagréables et méprisants au possible… En conclusion: à fuir absolument !!!
