The location of this place is great! About a three minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. The prices are too high for what you get, you definitely pay for the location. An Americana coffee was about 5.20. Overall I was slightly disappointed with the service and food but if you want a place to relax close to the Eiffel Tower this would be acceptable.

Food tasted great, loved the shrimp in our salad. Portions were okay and service decent. Not spectacular but still quite lovely.

Wonderful little find. My wife’s escargots was great and her salmon was moist and tender. My tomatoes and mozzarella were great and my chicken and frites was falling off the bone. The wine was fab. The waitress was the co-owner and she was charming.

Just stopped in for some hot wine with friends. Hot wine was really good. Delicious! Although a bit pricy for € 6… And the glass size was a bit small. Place was packed with both locals & foreigners.

Freundliche Bedienung.

worst café experience by far. food was gross. employees were born without brains. avoid this dirty dingy excuse of a dive. owner needs to clean house of all staff and then scrub the café itself. as awful as it gets.

This place doesn’t like American tourists(obvs la rive gauche) so if you’re like me and can’t speak with a Parisian accent, make sure you’re always with a local when stopping by. Love going here when I just want to chill and unwind. Perfect French café.

Don’t know if the food is good, but the service is pathetic. We stopped for a drink at about 4:30. There were other patrons, but not overly busy. It took 15 minutes to get the server’s attention to place an order for a beer and a glass of wine. After another 15 minutes, we still had not received our order. Servers were just standing around chatting so we decided to leave. Won’t be going back…

Food was just okay. I ordered the Caesar salad, the menu said grilled chicken but the chicken was smoked, it also said anchovy sauce, however it was more of a mayonnaise/aioli. Also the lettuce was fancy lettuce, not cos lettuce like a usual Caesar salad, but that wasn’t a big deal for me, the lettuce was edible. My boyfriend got a chicken burger which again was just okay, the fries were the redeeming factor. Staff and service was fine, not great, and definitely not on par with other French restaurants I have dined in whilst in Paris.

VERYRUDESTAFF. The waitress here blew her stack when she found out we came for espresso before lunch hour was over. We didn’t know that lunch hour was going on. It was after 2:00! We realized that the people sitting outside were indeed having only coffee but no one told us we could do that. It was pouring rain… we just wanted an espresso before going to the Eiffel Tower. We were only met with hostility. We waited so long for service, we left. Just an overall BADEXPERIENCE. I agree with previous reviewer. They are disrespectful and unkind. Go to another café where you will be greeted with a smile and good manners. You will spend some money here. Make it worth your while.

My buddy and I were in the area of Café Gustave while walking the Sienne, near the Eiffel Tower… we were hungry, I used my Unilocal app to see what was nearby and decided that this would be a good place for us to grab a bite, people watch and relax. Thankfully, we were not disappointed. As it turned out a Paris friend of ours lives on the same street and he came to join us. I had the Quiche of the day which was cooked perfectly… very light with a great crust. My friends both had the steak and fries, which I tried and liked for a European steak. I say«European» steak because as an American we are used to bigger cuts and more flavor in our meat. The cocktails are very inventive but they do not come with ice so if you want ice in your cocktail just share that with the server and they will take care of you. Everyone we encountered spoke decent English and their menu is in both French and English so this place won’t feel intimidating. Because it is so close to the Eiffel Tower I’m sure alot of English speaking people will see this review. I strongly encourage you to give this place a chance. Oh the one draw back to this place was the server… he was a little horn dog and gave all his attention to the tables of women he was waiting on. Paris servers are not as attentive as American servers which I am generally prepared for but even the Parisians dining were a little frustrated.

My sister and I had dinner here twice in September 2013. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Would definitely dine here again. The Poulet Roti was excellent and moist, it was not a problem to switch the frites for mashed potatoes. Great location near Eiffel Tower.

Worst café in Paris. Absolute tourist scam — DONOTGOHERE. Incredibly disrespectful and condescending service. The first thing the waiter said to us when we sat down, assuming we were American tourists, was«cappucino? Cappucino? Cappucino?». Ordered a tiramisu that was not only not a tiramisu, but tasted horrible. It consisted of a small cup with some jam and a tiny piece of sweet bread in the bottom, and then filled 90% with whipped crème. After I complained, the manager said it was my fault that the«tiramisu» didn’t suit my taste… I asked if I could switch to another dessert, but she aggressively refused. When talking to the waiter, who was slightly more sympathetic, he said that«Elle est malade, je suis desolé»(sorry he is crazy). All in all very disrespectful service and horrible dessert. Worst experience in Paris so far.

We stumbled on this place for dinner when wandering the residential neighborhoods near the Eiffel Tower. The place was crowded and a bit noisy but the food was very good. I think everyone should eat at a local French Café at least once, and this one wont disappoint.

Brasserie traditionnelle à 2 pas de la tour Eiffel dans une rue calme. Ils ont une spécialité de hamburger maison bien sympathiques. Le service est rapide et efficace. A recommander.
