It was nice that they proposed a hot drink when I came to the salon on a winter day. However, they missed the most important thing for a hair salon: the haircut. I was the hairdresser’s last client of the day. I got the impression that he was in a hurry to leave work, and wasn’t paying enough attention to what he was doing. After I showed him some pictures of the cut that I wanted, he said that he got the idea, and started to cut quickly. At some point, I saw that he was not cutting much on the top, even though the styles that I showed him had short hair on the top. He replied, don’t worried, I’ll get there. But he didn’t.
Today a friend saw my new haircut, the first things she said to me was: «Your new haircut looks too heavy! It doesn’t have a light feeling at all! It’s far worse that your last haircut!» We agreed that it was because he didn’t give a good structure of layers to my hair. The top part is too long all together.
Perhaps good layers are too much to expect from a mediocre hairdresser. However, I thought I could at least expect the basics. But I was wrong. When the hairdresser showed me his final results, I couldn’t believe that it was final. Because after some rusty cutting, the left side above my ear was clearly different from the right side. The shape was not refined, and hair on the left side was clearly longer than the right side, while it was not meant to be an unsymmetrical style. The hairdresser said, «Right, I’ll cut a bit more» when I pointed this out. However, when I went back home, I saw that the two sides in front of my ears were still not of the same length! I had to trim them my self! The reason why I didn’t see it before leaving the salon was that the hairdresser even forgot to show me the haircut from behind and both sides. He was already going to pack up his tools immediately after the work was done. I needed to ask him to do so. Then he went like «oh, I forgot to show you the cut from behind!» He showed me very quickly with a mirror behind my head, I didn’t get to see the profile from both sides.
Yet another surprise before I finish this comment. When it was time to pay, I was asked to pay more than 70 euros for the haircut. On their website it says that «coup à sec» costs 65 euros; only when you do shampooing and brushing will it be 73 euros. That evening, they didn’t do any of these extra services. The hairdresser just cut my hair dry, even without passing a comb or a brush through my hair. But they still wanted to charge a higher price, the receptionist claimed it to be a «transformation» haircut, which would cost more. Well, if it was a transformation, I have to admit that it was definitively a very disappointing one.

Les coiffeurs au look smarts et branchés ont su répondre en tout point à mes attentes.
J’ai découvert cette maison grâce au bar au chignon dans laquelle mon amie se rendait. Je me suis dit: «Et pourquoi pas moi «pour une coupe bien sûr, le chignon attendra.
Et depuis, je m’y rends régulièrement seul ou avec mon amie pour des styles chaque fois différent.
Au final, j’allais plutôt chez le coiffeur à reculons, mais je dois avouer que les conseils et l’écoute sont les atouts de cette maison qui privilégie les produits bio et végétales.
Je né vais plus chez le coiffeur mais dans ma maison de coiffure.

I am so excited because today I had my hair cut by Christophe-​Nicolas Biot. This is the BEST haircut I have ever had. The transformation is incredible and compliments have been flowing since I exited the salon. I thoroughly recommend this 60’s-style, Mick Jagger look-​alike hairdresser to cut your hair as he is intelligent, creative and oh-​so-​cool.

Christophe Nicolas Biot est surtout connu pour être le précurseur du bar à chignon.
J’y suis allée pour laisser ma tête et mes cheveux entre leurs mains expertes.
Lorsque l’on recherché sur paris un endroit de confiance pour faire sa coiffure et son maquillage de mariée en restant dans des prix décents, on a l’impression de chercher l’impossible.
C’est avec beaucoup de bonheur que j’ai trouvé cette adresse.
Le personnel est très gentil et compétent (j’ai beaucoup aimé le fait que les hommes soit en chemise et cravate).
J’ai pu faire mon essai coiffure et maquillage sur rendez-​vous un mois avant le jour J. J’avais apporté pleins de visuels pour que le coiffeur voit le type de coiffure que j’aimais et me dise quels types de coiffures étaient possible suivant ma nature de cheveux. J’ai également apporté une photo de la robe pour que la coiffure soit en accord. Evidemment on fait des essais donc il faut tenter d’être le plus précis possible lorsque l’on décrit ce que l’on attend comme résultat. Pour moi les explications ont commencés par «un maquillage lumineux et naturel et une coiffure chic et romantique», ils ont tout compris et au fur et à mesure de l’avancement des essais nous avons validé les résultats. Si vous pouvez, emmener avec vous un smartphone ou un appareil photo pour prendre des photos des résultats et les apportez le jour J.
Le jour J j’ai fait ma coiffure, mon maquillage et une manucure sans stress vu que l’on avait tout vu ensemble pendant les essais et que j’étais bien évidemment avec les mêmes personnes. Si jamais votre cérémonie n’est pas loin, vous pouvez venir avec votre robe et vos accessoires, ils ont une cabine où vous pourrez vous changer.
Le forfait mariée est à 380 €, vous pouvez y aller accompagnée par vos amies pour qu’elles se fassent faire un chignon. Les prix des chignons dépendent du type et du temps de prestation :
Chignon 10 min: Attaché et Nature…20 €
Chignon 20 min: Cocktail Party…40 €
Chignon 30 min: Sophisticated Lady…60 €
Chignon grand soir…80 €
Je pense que j’y retournerai pour me faire couper les cheveux par contre le salon a l’air toujours très rempli. Je pense qu’il faut s’y prendre longtemps à l’avance pour avoir un rendez-​vous.
