I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Fred Hotel. In France, you never know what type of service to expect. May I recommend you speak with Tissa, the hotel manager. He was absolutely fantastic. I arrived very early in the morning(8 am) and rooms were not available. I went for breakfast and to find wifi. Upon my return, rooms were still not available. But after speaking with Tissa and explaining the long journey I endured, he gave me a room within 5 minutes as well as complementary coffee. This location is very safe and located in a very cute french neighborhood with tiny streets and cute restaurants. I would stay here again in a flash! The rooms are a bit small, but that’s just how Paris is! For paris, this was an amazing room and the hotel was beautiful and well kept. Cleanliness is 10 stars(saying a lot for Paris)!! Make sure to talk with Tissa who will help with all your needs.

Stayed here on our visit to Paris. Overall, very nice hotel, friendly staff, and interesting location. It is close to the metro, and a bit off the beaten path so you can experience the city like a local. If you are looking for a touristy vibe, this is not your place. Its a little pricey but pretty average for Paris. Staff was helpful and spoke English pretty well. The neighborhood is nice enough with lots of restaurants. There is an awesome boulangerie we fell in love with near the Pernety metro stop.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday for 3 nights this week and we are so glad that we chose this hotel! We chose this hotel after spending hours trawling over the internet — you know what it’s like, especially in a city as big as Paris! We stayed in their standard room, which is their smallest, it was the last available room! So I am glad we booked it when we did! The room was very small, like many in Paris, but it was actually pretty cosy! My boyfriend was quit worried because he prefers a larger room, where as I’m not as bothered. But we both liked it! They use the space really well. The bed is large and extremely comfy! The carpet is lovely and soft on the feet. The television is large however only has one English channel which is CNN. Would have been better to have more channels but to be honest we only watched TV when we had a little siesta in the afternoon. The shower was great! Big waterfall head. Lovely quality toiletries were available — shampoo, shower gel and body cream as well as a nice soap and shower cap and shoe polish too. I do always wish there would be a conditioner in hotels as well. Like other reviews have mentioned, there is not a great deal of privacy when using the toilet, which isn’t a problem for us but might be if you’re in a new relationship! It would be better if they had a proper door, however the glass does help maximise the space. The service was excellent from all the staff we encountered, they even lent us wine glasses and opened our bottle for us, as well as lending us cutlery for when we picked up lunch from a supermarket. Their English is all great, however we did make an effort to speak as much French as possible, which is appreciated and they are very patient. We were also able to leave our baggage with them on our checkout day until needed. Everywhere was extremely clean and well presented. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on that. There is free WiFi which is available throughout the hotel which is exceptional. The location is pretty good, not far from Plaisance Metro station, and the metro is quick to Montparnasse Bienvenue where changes can be made to other lines. The hotel is about ½ hr tube journey to Bastille, and about 15 mins to Champs Elysses and 25mins to the Eiffel tower including changes, so to me the location is fine! It’s quite residential but that means it’s quiet and you can sleep easily with the window open. There are nice patisseries nearby as well as lots of restaurants and cafes and supermarkets. If you are considering booking this hotel, don’t hesitate! I would certainly return and recommend it to anyone. It’s great value for money and a wonderful hotel for a 3*. After busy days(and nights!) in the more lively areas of Paris, it’s like coming home to this hotel.

Really modern, nice hotel in the Latin district of Paris. Recently stayed here for five nights in a three person room and would definitely go back. The room was a decent size(compared to most European hotel rooms) and very clean and modern. Free wifi was a major plus. It’s located on a quiet street with many restaurants, bakeries and shops nearby.
