The proximity to the Eiffel tower is phenomenal. It is just one street over from a market with small cafes, a fantastic bakery, and good food. You don’t have to go far! Plus its within walking distance to the Eiffel tower which meant that sight-seeing was a breeze. The center of Paris is very congested with traffic so be forewarned that driving to the airport can be a costly taxi ride but this hotel does have a shuttle that you have to call 24 hrs. in advance. If your flight leaves early in the morning like ours did… you won’t have a lot of traffic. The beds are reasonably comfortable(queen) but the rooms are small and the bathrooms are just as small. The front desk personal was helpful and spoke English. There was a computer below in the reception area and a breakfast but you do have to pay for it.

Stayed here in early March. People at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Had one continental breakfast the first morning here, expensive but good and did the job. You are a 2 minute walk to Rue Cler though so you could definitely do that route as well. Room is small, but doable, I have no complaints. Free wifi worked great. Wasn’t asked to leave to leave the key at front desk like other person, however, it might have been my situation that happened that they ask that(long story!) You are close to two metro stations and the Eiffel Tower. Going back next year and plan to stay again.

Nice boutique hotel at the eastern end of Champ du Mars, just a block off of Rue Cler. Tons of great boulangeries and cafes just outside the door. There’s a Leader Price grocery store right on the corner, too. Ten-minute walk to Napoleon’s tomb at Invalides, 15 minutes in the other direction to the Eiffel Tower. Easy metro access at the École Militaire stop. Our room was ready when we arrived at noon. Comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom. The refrigerator was stocked with snacks and drinks, but we couldn’t find prices for anything anywhere so we left that alone. Good water pressure in the shower and nice toiletries. The free WiFi worked well. The walls are quite thin — we could hear the guy snoring from across the hall, and every cough from the guy in the room next to ours. We used the white noise app on my phone to try to drown it out, with about 80% success. The halls and elevator are dim and small, but the lobby is bright and welcoming. There’s even an automatic shoeshine machine, which I thought was a nice touch. The hotel contracts with a shuttle service to Charles De Gaulle airport for € 36. Not cheap, but less than a taxi and well worth it to not have to ride the metro with a bunch of luggage. You can book it at the front desk a day in advance. Overall, a good value in an absolutely outstanding location. We will definitely stay here again.

The Hotel Beaugency is a cute little hotel just off of Rue Cler. The room was very comfortable, and the location could not be beat. They give you a huge key that you are instructed to leave with the reception desk whenever you leave, and then you pick it up when you come back in. They say they do this to keep track of who is there and who is still out. The elevator here is tiny. You can only fit one person in it at a time. Two if you’re squeezing and have no need for personal space.
