A real authentic homemade Korean food. The food was really delicious and the host and servers were so friendly. So much more pleasant than crowed Opera area restaurants. Highly recommend it.

Je me suis régalée !! Fan de cuisine coréenne !

It was Sunday evening and I was exhausted, I had been out all day and literally running around all weekend. I wanted some comfort food and didn’t want to go far, I did some quick research and found what was listed as a respectable Korean restaurant so I gave it go and was not disappointed! First, one should know that Asian cuisine in Paris France is typically a miss, the food is typically Frenchified in the sense that the palate of the people from France doesn’t really like spicy nor the intense flavors — I’m saying normally, there are exceptions! Upon entering Samo you knew something good was happening there. The restaurant was about 90% filled at 9pm on a Sunday and a majority of the tables were occupied by Korean nationals — usually a good sign with most ethnic restaurants. Food ordered included the fried ravioli, sushi and spicy pork. The ravioli were obviously homemade along with the dipping sauce. Taste was fantastic. Sushi were made using fresh fish and generous amounts of wasabi. Spicy pork was spicy but not enough for me, problem fixed though with their own spicy sauce. All in all the environment was great, service was speedy, prices very reasonable and the food tasted great. I will go again and suggest you do as well if considering this place.

It was good. Nothing outstanding. Same like the Korean food back home in DC area. The bibimbap, bolgogi, and spicy beef all good. They rushed us to get out of there because I guess the place closes at 2:30 pm and it was 2:45, but my son is a slow eater who would be perfect for 3 hour lunches and dinners in Paris.

Authentic Korean food in the middle of 7th, off of Rue Cler — who knew? I should have. I can’t believe it took me almost two years to discover this place that’s so close to me! Okay, fine, the prices are Rue Cler prices at around 16EUR a dish, but at some point in your life time, you just have to give in to the idea that money can also be used to pay for convenience… but i digress… Anyway, owned by real Koreans, this place seemed to have been around for a long long time. The service is decent, although the old lady who does the cashier job is a big scary. We got the onion pancakes as a starter, then my boyfriend got the grilled spicy pork and I got the spicy beef soup. Pajun/Scallion Pancakes: DELICIOUS. I’m generally not a huge fan of the korean ones because they don’t mince the green onions but use giant stalks of them — but this one was so good that I was too happy to help my boyfriend finish them. Huge portion. Dweji Bulgogi/Korean Spicy Pork BBQ. DELICOUS. They give it to you on a stovetop, but it’s precooked in a pan, and the stove doesn’t turn on. The presentation is kinda funny. The food is good there and no complaints. Portion was a good size too. Yukgaejang/Spicy Beef soup. TERRIBLE!!! Don’t get the soups here. Their soup is watery and bland and clearly not braised slowly over time. What’s worse? There is no beef inside. I found like one tiny tidbit slithereen of pork. Mostly just boiled kimchi. I would venture to say that you stay away from their soup dishes. The Banchan/side dishes are great. Although the Kimchi was alcoholy and was clearly not fermented long enough, the seaweed and other pickled dishes were quite good. We did not care for the anchovies and did not try them(see pic). Overall, I believe if you are in the neighbourhood and want something Asian, this place is a worthy visit if you don’t mind the price tag. It was about 60EUR for two: one beer, and two full bellies.

Located around the corner from the apartment we were staying at. Not sure if it would be the best korean in Paris, was ok.

Wow. More than expected. But don’t assume they speak english. This is Korean /French. #29 is kick ass. PS: metal cup sticks are challenging.

A Paris Gem! Apparently this restaurant has been there for 27 or 17 years(one of those numbers) with the SAME chef! They have all the makings of a fabulous Korean restaurant(Bee Bim Bop, KBBQ, kimchee, the little bowls of yum,) and a fantastic appetizer list. Plus, their tea is quality, and at the end of your meal they give you a little plate of fresh fruit on the house. The waitresses are super nice, and speedy, and their French is excellent. I just LOVE Asian food(I ate it allll the time when I lived in LA,) so it felt like home here. And it was a freeeezing, snowy day so a steaming rice bee bim bop bowl was exactly what the Dr.(and I) ordered. :)

Vraiment content, addition correcte à 34 euro, service rapide. A refaire !
