BOUGIE. but the best kind. Hotel costes is POSH POSH POSH, exactly what paris is about! I didnt stay at the hotel, but we came for lunch monday afternoon. From other reviews/​friends i had heard that this is the place to see and be seen, and the atmosphere definitely lived up to that.
The outdoor seating area is adorable. Well decorated and heaters on everywhere to ensure you stay toasty.
Normally at places as fancy schmancy as this, i go in with the notion that food might not live up to price, and service will be hit or miss.
To my surprise, both food and service were top notch. The staff was super kind and accommodating, our waitress was quick and attentive, and super helpful when it came to the menu. I was so happy with service here, and thoroughly impressed.
The food itself was just delicious. Its honestly hard to not have stellar food in paris, and you can get it at any price. We ordered the lobster pasta (sauce was phenomenal on that) & the filet, cooked medium rare… it was a thing of beauty. The hotel is pricey — look to spend 75 – 100 euros per person. (This included a bottle of wine, and 2 entrees priced at about 50 – 60 euros each)
I highly highly recommend this spot for anyone who’s looking to splurge some, and truly get a Parisian experience!

This is a very trendy restaurant. The atmosphere is AMAZING. The wait staff are BEAT as in completely on point. This place is dripping with understated coolness. Absolutely the place to be. I’m glad I had a chance to get here while it’s still hot. No place on earth I would rather sip coffee and eat dessert. Pricey… but, who the f*** cares!

Lovely bar with a nice crowd. Expensive drinks but strong. Best to come catch up with friends here.

What makes hotel costes special is not just the food, the scene and the décor, it’s the combination of those things that make it the place to be in Paris.
Came here for dinner on a Monday night. The place was not too busy. Immediately attracted to the atmosphere. Very French and very bougie. We sat at the terrace which was a mistake to be honest because we don’t smoke. They have a very good selection of wine. We had the Thai spring rolls to start. It tasted more like an Indian samosa. For mains, I had the tiger beef with a side of mash which was very delicious and an example of Asian fusion done right. For dessert, the clementine sorbet. Over all, for 2 glasses of wine, a glass of champagne and a full course meal for 2 people it came to a little over 250 euros which is very reasonable given the quality of the food, service and atmosphere at the costes.

Décor/​Ambiance/​Vibe is top notch — one of my favorite scenes in Paris
Food was on point — everything we ate was delicious and unique (particularly the Tom Yum Sea Bass)
Service was excellent — food came out swiftly and our waiter was courteous and attentive.
Will be back for sure.

This is for the bar area/​covered patio.
My friend had never been in. I grabbed her hand and said we had to grab a drink. It’s a covered patio area. That being said, I couldn’t tell that it was «outside» because the smoke from everyone’s cigarettes didn’t seem to be evaporating into the air. So, yes, it’s a very smoky patio!!!
The scene on a Saturday afternoon was very Euro Chic. Everyone looks fabulous and like I said, smoking. Whatevs… it was fun!
We wandered a bit to see the rest of the area. Took some selfies in the toilette and grabbed some matches on our way out.

My review is an average of all my visits here. I’ve dined at Costes quite a few times, I’ve only been disappointed once and they fixed the issue quickly. The waitstaff is attractive, they all look like models who are a bit mad. The French do not smile, Costes included. Smoking is allowed in the dining area because technically is outside… If your American and don’t like smoke, tell them when you make the reservation. Bar area is chic and one of the most expensive bars in Paris besides the obvious George V etc… You did not come here to save your pennies. Just hand over your credit card and don’t look at your bill. The atmosphere is sexy, fancy, Parisian, cool, and everything you would imagine. Five stars on atmosphere. Everything else is four stars, but this place is a place to be seen and people watch not be a gastronomical perfectionist.

Love this spot. I always get the Tom yum seabass. You MUST have a reservation. Call ahead to make one. They tend to prefer younger pretty people as well. If they don’t love how you look they seat you inside or in a corner or don’t seat you at all.

Fun place to have outdoor lunch and/​or drinks. Trendy and an in-​crowd place, quit often a celebrity gazing scene. Food, nothing really particular, however, expensive prices for what you are served. In summary, you go here for the scene and to be seen, and ambiance and not for the food! The hotel is ok to stay at, but again too much for too little!

Good atmosphere and decently crowded. We were there on a thursday night and the bartender totally ruled by mixing the drinks in a truly artistic way.
Good drinks and a nice crowd pretty much sums it up, I’ll visit again!

This is the IT! palce in paris… The who’s who of anyone stays here. The hotel side was A –ok. the bar area rocks. so many rooms, so many choices… sit in the main area, get some drinks and enjoy the show. Quiet a interesting crowd. Hilarious :)

My sister and i went to famous (!) hotel costs restaurant today. What a disappointment !
Other than ambiance, there is absolutely nothing good about this place. First i wanted to drink a glass of water, but i could not because of the glass was smelling like eggs. Not sure if it was clean enough.
Than i called the waiter asked for a clean glass and she gets from other table and gives it to me.
Than we ordered Salmon and they brought a smelly fish and they told us that it is organic and we don’t eat organic fish in America so we don’t know the taste of a real fish. The way that they act is very prejudice. Than we requested another food because we were super hungry manager shows up and tells us there is nothing wrong with the fish like for 20 mins of a conversation. The waiter was also insisting that we were the only people till now who complained about the food. They said that it will be a waste to throw it. So like i have to eat it (because i am a garbage disposal). It was like a nightmare. We asked for the check than guess what? They added those 2 salmon dishes plus, and the replacement orders also. And than another long conversation like i am their competitor. These people seriously do not know about service business. Not sure if it works this way in Paris but i am amazed how they have a good name ?! But the King is naked :) The replacement food was also not worth for 108 Euro. I would not recommend anyone to go waste their money also their motivation. It looks chic but employees are extremely rude, food is horrible. I would rather go and eat street food. A big disappointment !!!

The review is purely for the bar portion of the hotel.
You know, the way you imagine Paris nightlife? Elegant surroundings, well dressed people, romantic music? Ok, perhaps they dropped the ball with the music by playing Katy Perry, but everything else was just as you would expect. The classic gorgeous chandeliers, craft cocktails and many ladies of the night trying to find their next customer by the bar (it’s only a 3 star hotel, so they were looking accordingly). It was packed, even on a Sunday night when most of the places in Paris were long closed. Even getting to the actual bar was a challenge with so many people. Overall, great place to come for a drink. It reminded me of the St. Regis bar in Atlanta, similar crowd and vibes, but even nicer, it’s Paris after all! I got a drink from Passion Fruit, wasn’t my cup of tea as it was way too sour, but I should have known.

Favorite Hotel in Paris! If you can’t stay here then at least make sure to come by for dinner and drinks.

It was my first time there and I have to say that I was absolutely not disappointed. We went to the bar and we had their special cucumber Martini. I highly recommend it, it was really good. A little pricey but we’re talking about the Costes Hotel… We couldn’t have dinner there because we had an other reservation somewhere else. But we will for sure in the future. The patio looks amazing.

Came here because I heard it was great for models! I wanted a younger crowd but stay in the center of Paris to venture.
This hotel is VERY DARK. All the time. Even your room has poor lighting and little natural light which I find annoying. The bathrooms are ok but the rest of the room is lamps and I hate that I can’t see! I understand it’s for a mood but I think they can bring up the lights a tad.
The restaurant downstairs is delicious. Get the lobster spicy pasta! It’s super good. But expect to sit there for a couple hours because the service is a joke. We tried tipping the waitress very well (over $ 100) so she would remember us when we came back. She gave us the same service. We tried someone else and he was just as bad.
I tried the spa and it was good. Not amazing or poor… They have a pool and sauna and spa options. Not something I’d recommend when you’re in Paris.
This hotel has potential but isn’t quite there.

This hotel is French glamour at it’s best. We did not stay here but we did come for a glass of rose one afternoon and enjoyed the lovely patio. The grounds are lovely. On the walk downstairs to the toilets I walked through many beautiful rooms with beautiful couches and chairs, botanical art, it’s quite a site to see! I highly recommend stopping in for a cocktail!

Because I love the food, and love the wine there.
But the staff, in the bar as in the restaurant ain’t nice at all. They never wait between every dish of the menu.
But whatever, we’ll go back.

Yes, it’s pricey! Yes, it’s booshie! From the staff to the guests that inhabit the hotel, this place is pretty arrogant. But, the food was great, the drinks were stiff and delicious and it is a fun place to people watch. My husband and I stayed here because we love the Hotel Costes music compilations and we figured from our last visit one day we would come back and check this place out. The DJ was really good, they mostly mix a softer EDM with R&B and they do it well!
The décor of this place was my absolute favorite! The pool looks like a dream in a cave! The pergola that surrounds the entire restaurant is magical! The red hues with the white linens give it a dark but very romantic feel! If this is how the French do cool, it’s pretty cool! The tiles in our bathroom were beautiful and finally the view from our rooms window into the restaurant covered with creeping fig and greenery everywhere was charming to say the least!

Decoration egypto-​second empire mythique, personnel stylé, musique lounge, cuisine honnete … Tous les ingredients d’une bonne soirée. On choisira une table a proximité du couloir oú le personnel defile tel in podium de mode … Spectacle assure !

Marketing + escroquerie + snobisme = Hotel Costes.
J’ai déjeuné pour 80 € d’une assiette de pâtes (ridiculement petite) aux langoustes épicées avec une bouteille d’eau pétillante et un dessert insignifiant aux fruits rouges, ça né cassait franchement pas trois pattes à un canard… et là arrive la note: ils se font une marge de dingue! La cuisine né vaut vraiment pas ces prix exorbitants. Certes le cadre est très agréable, les hôtesses vous placent, mais ce côté branchouille parisien exaspérant n’a vraiment aucun intérêt et surtout né justifie pas des prix pareils! C’est du pur marketing. 1 étoile, c’est vraiment mal noter, mais le prix m’est resté en travers de la gorge.

Adepte et habitué de ce lieu je recommande. La Deco la musique l’ambiance es sympa. le restaurant es pas mal. les autres bars costes sont sympa aussi.

un grand classique du show off. un incontournable de la frime mais tellement agréable. définitivement bien fait.

i think I’ll just spell out the place and say it like it is:
H is for the Hard-​to-​find bathroom, from the bar just make a left then a right then the second left then… ahh! Very private and clean though. Unlike many stupid US bathrooms which have the big gap on the floor and cracks in the doors.
O is for Older White Men. Many of these here.
T is for trendy. No hoodies or UFO pants here, just ties, suits, sexy dresses and high heels instead.
E is for Easily accessible via Rue Honore near metro Musee-​Louvre.
L is for Loaded clientele. More disposable income than you probably have.
C is for couples-​oriented.
O is for Overpriced. Expect to pay 25 euros for a mojito. You’ll get a nice helping of alcohol though (see below S)
S is for Strong Alcoholic Beverages. Expect to get bombed off of one drink.
T is for tons of comfy couches and chairs in the bar area.
E is for English speaking. I spoke my crappy French to the waitress and she responded in English!
S is for Stephane Pompougnac, the resident DJ who created the Hotel Costes compilations. He wasn’t there that night =/​

Dans le genre, à mon avis cet hôtel/​restaurant est unique! A votre arrivée, une hôtesse vous accueille avec un grand sourire, vous débarrasse, vous installe, c’est absolument extra! Dites lui votre nom et durant toute la soirée elle s’en souviendra.
Certes, c’est cher, mais pour un service aussi exigent et aussi parfait il est normal de mettre le prix.
Si vous passez par Paris, que vous êtes adepte du chic et du luxe, du quartier saint Germain, allez y jeter un œil!

Le cadre est raffiné avec diverses ambiances cosy, bucolique, design, luxe et la carte waouh tout est attrayant.
Pour ma part j’ai choisi une viande le tigre qui pleure et j’en pleure encore de plaisir.

Étant une cliente habituée des spas, j’ai eu envie de tester le Spa Clarins du costes, j’appelle donc pour prendre un Rdv, tout se passé bien la femme qui répond m’informe qu’il reste une place dans l’après-midi; une fois arrivée je suis accueillie par deux jeunes femmes (pas vraiment distinguées et encore moins 5 étoiles) une blonde très maquillée et une brune aux cheveux longs qui m’a d’ailleurs massée, elles discutaient tranquillement, me disent à peine bonjour, et continuent leur discussion on pouvait les entendre depuis le vestiaire se plaindre des clients de l’hôtel, pas des plus accueillants. Pour la prestation rien d’extraordinaire…

5 of us came here for dinner, at the time, I didn’t read any review. Having dined here once and then read everyone’s review on this place, I can totally see why it can be a ½ or ⁴⁄₅ stars place at the same time, unfortunately my experience told me that I won’t come back to this place ever again.
Liked everyone said, it is a very trendy, sexy, fashionable restaurant full of beautiful waiter and waitress — so if your date is going to be impressed by this, then definitely take her/​him here. But like many people said, you can receive very poor and rude services if your wait or waitress has decided that you are not worth of their time and energy. Our waitress failed to explain most of the dishes on the menu… both in French and English, and she doesn’t seem to care either. She was very pretty, and obviously, it’s probably the only reason why she hasn’t lost her job.
Food was pretty good, I have to say. BUT, in the capital of gastronomy, this is NOTHING SPECIAL. You can easily find a restaurant serves better quality and more delicious food, with much better service in Paris. Between 5 of us, we had:
— Escargots
— Foie Gras
— Tartare
— Yellow Tail Carpaccio
— Sole
— Tom Yum Chili Sea Bass
— Spicy Lobster Pasta
— Steak
— Crispy Duck
— Cheese Cake

My friends shared a bottle of red wine and I obviously had Bloody Mary.
I think it’s a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a date night, where you can really impress your date if you are looking for something chic. But, you need to dress according to the restaurant’s style, if you want to get decent service.
If you are not willing to spend at least $ 100 per head, then I wouldn’t recommend this place.
I don’t like here because of the attitude of people working here. Having lived in Paris for 3 years, I know the service in France or Paris can be excellent, so why come to a 3^rd class service restaurant???

Un classique agréable
Certaines disent que la réputation de ce lieu est surfaite, ce n’est pas mon avis. On s’y sent bien, le cadre est agréable, forcement la musique aussi. La nourriture est bonne et la carte des vins aussi. On se détend et on déguste sa soirée.

Petit Wk a Paris on se dit que le bar du Costes sera super pour se boire un petit verre entre copines l’endroit est réputé pour son glamour et son cotée bling bling … pour ma part vous pouvez supprimer le terme glamour. c’est que de la frime, les serveuses sont hautaine et méprisante (en même temps elle sont font enguirlander toutes les 5 min par une clientèle «difficile «et alors le pom pom c’est les 48 € pour deux cosmo servis dans un verre minuscule et pas du tout adapter pour un cocktail !! en gros je suis venue j’ai vue et j’y retournerais plus !!!

J’y suis allée un samedi soir pour boire un verre.
Cadre magnifique, autant l’entrée que la salle de restaurant.
Djette qui envoie un son lounge rythmé parfait.
Clientèle internationale ayant les moyens, mais plus ici en représentation que pour s’amuser. Pas un sourire sur ces visages liftés …
Moyenne d’âge: 50 ans et plus, les rares jeunes femmes ressemblant fortement à des escorts girls…
Talons 15 cm, robes ultra moulantes et ultra courtes …
La salle où se trouve le bar est très petite, prise par toutes les tables, donc si vous n’avez pas de table, vous passez votre soirée à vous faire pousser par tout le monde.
Mais un lieu mythique à connaître, à voir (et pour ma part, quel beau paysage, ayant à ma droite Christophe Dugarry et à ma gauche Gustavo Kuerten !!!)

Deux hôtesses d’accueil extrêmement désagréables au téléphone à la réservation et a l’accueil au restaurant. Un service digne d’un restaurant d’autoroute. Des serveuses très désagréable à l’image des hôtesses d’accueil. Un sérieux coaching est à prévoir sur l’ensemble du personnel. Néanmoins, le cadre est particulièrement agréable et original. Une cuisine très simple pour le prix payé. Exemple du foie gras pour deux: deux tranches dans une assiette blanche avec un toast (30 €). Ou encore de la sole grillée (58 €) juste les filets relevés dans une assiette, sans rien autour… Je déconseille vivement ce restaurant si vous souhaitez passer une soirée dans un endroit agréable où vous êtes reçus convenablement.

Endroit surfait en tant que bar, je n’y retournerai pas, les cocktails étaient «sans plus», l’ambiance rien de particulier, le service médiocre (dans un endroit où l’on paye 23 euros le cocktail, on s’attend à ce que le serveur soit foutu de deviner le bon moment où venir prendre la commande, pas quand on est vraisemblablement en train de discuter les différents cocktails… surtout quand on est les seuls clients !!). Bref, je trouverai mieux !

l’Hotel Costes n’a rien de surprenant, on s’attendait à ce que ce soit top.
Comme dans tous les autres établissements Costes, le rapport qualité prix du restaurant né fait pas rêver, cependant aucune déception, les plats sont tous d’assez bonne qualité, il y en a pour tous les goûts et assez copieux avec ça (référence à la petite frayeur que l’on peut avoir sur la mode ration Cambodge parisienne, confirmée par l’IMC de la serveuse pistonnée par papa qui a bien entendu reconnu vos dernières chaussures Dior au lieu de fournir un service de qualité).
Cependant, la déco est un chef d’oeuvre (Jacques Garcia oblige), la playlist au top, la clientèle internationale, quoique toujours élégante, et cette ambiance !
On a beau dire, il se passé quelque chose au Costes.
Je vous conseille les soirs de weekend pour une bonne ambiance, du monde, de la bonne musique, une pénombre juste propice à l’effet boudoir. Vous trouverez toujours une place au restaurant même si je vous conseille de réserver. Cependant le bar est prit d’assaut aux alentours de 23 heures, mieux vaut donc arriver plus tôt pour espérer une place assise. Les cocktails sont délicieux quoique chers, mais on oublie vite l’addition et on se laisse emporter.
En résumé le Costes pourrait en blaser certains, mais on né devient pas une institution Parisienne toujours aussi prisée après 15ans d’existence en n’ayant rien à offrir. Malgré ses défauts le Costes opère de sa magie, et puis, diner auprès d’Alain Delon ou croiser Gilles Lellouche à la réception, personnellement, je né dis pas non.

Allez-​y les yeux fermés mais une fois dans la place ouvrez les tout grands !

Le paradis porte un nom !
Lorsque vous pousser la porte et que le parfum Costes commence à vous entourer, vous savez que vous n’êtes pas n’importe où ! C’est une idée du luxe, un décor fabuleux… Y boire un cocktail, c’est un moment d’exception, y diner, c’est un évènement… pour ceux qui on un budget à tenir ! On dira ce qu’on voudra, mais c’est mythique et même si c’est un peu snob, c’est à faire au moins une fois dans la vie, moi c’est fait et j’y retournerai au plus vite !

Clairement le Costes (resto) né vaut pas du tout le détour si vous êtes un fin gastronome. Par contre foncez y si:
1– vous faites une étude sociologique sur les cougars ou avez un penchant pour ce type de félin
2– vous avez envie d’admirer un cadre qui est tout de même assez jolie mais très sombre (myope et autres allez y en journée, vous né verrez rien le soir)
3– vous voulez vous faire maltraiter par une serveuse qui rêve d’être actrice (quoique cette fois-​ci le service était plutôt aimable)
Conclusion: l’endroit est vraiment beau, un peu rococo à la Jacques Garcia (est-​ce lui le designer??) on y dine moyennement mais la bonne nouvelle c’est que vous n’avez pas besoin de parler a votre voisin: il y a du spectacle!
Ah et j’oubliais tout comme le Coq au Trocadéro c’est le seul endroit à ma connaissance ou vous pouvez vous faire recaler pour aller petit déjeuner à 10h du mat’ (testé par moi même pour le Costes et une amie pour le Coq…).
Enfin dernier point, demandez une table près de la cheminée (c’est apparemment là qu’il faut être …)!

Grand Hotel in Mitten von Paris. Ein Sehen und Gesehen werden, was hier aber Spaß macht. Es riecht überall sehr gut und im Innenhof sitzt man etwas eng, aber man sieht jede Menge interessanter Leute. Essen und Trinken ist sehr gut, steht aber in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis. Aber gut, das ist halt Paris!
Fazit: Unbedingt besuchen! Sehr chic und sehr hip!

Beaucoup de rumeurs sur Costes mais franchement une des soirées les plus mémorables passées à Paris avec un Dj-​Dandy déjanté qui a mis une super ambiance, du Billecart-​Salmon rosé (excellent) qui coulait à flots et ce fameux fondant au chocolat qui nous a fait craquer.
Super endroit pour faire la fête (la vraie9 si bien accompagné !!

Ça fait 15 piges que c’est là !!! Même si quelquefois le personnel pête plus haut que son boule, Il faut reconnaitre qu’il né s’agit pas d’un «effet mode» comme c’est trop souvent le cas dans les grandes capitales .Du côté de la bouffe c’est figé dans le temps, on va bientôt vous amener le fameux’ tigre qui pleure’ dans du formole. Mais ils ont sut rebondir sur des cocktails extraordinaires, c’est propre, ça sent bon, c’est nickel quoi, Du Garcia, de ce coté la: RAS. On y croise du lourd (voir les 15 dernierres annees gali ou voiça)les serveuso– sauterelles sont plutot mignonnes. La journée un peu de tout ce qui peux frimer, le soir ça mega frime (et des fois ça raccole aussi, en tout bien tout honneur, bien sur). ps: la momie rp responsable ex regine et lucas carton nous rappelle que le louvre est juste a coté (section egypte)

Mon Dieu, vous qui avez de l’amour propre, FUYEZ!
A moins d’un périple au coeur du show biz parisien, d’une étude ethnographique sur tout ce que la capitale a produit de plus arrogant, ou pour une envie de changement, pour une fois, comme ça, pour voir (et croiser Ardison), n’y ALLEZ PAS.
Je suis allée trois fois au Costes. Une première pour fêter mes 20ans en famille, et là, j’ai eu de la chance. 20ans oblige, paillettes plein les yeux car le cadre est tout de même magnifique, kad&olivier, ardison à côté. Pour une jeune banlieusarde, c’était chouette. La bouffe était pas mal, dans mon lointain souvenir…
Cinq ans plus tard, patatra. Deux soirs dans la même année, une volontaire, l’autre invitée, et ce fut le drame.
*Bouffe franchement pas oufissime (mais on né vient plus pour ça)
*Prix démesurés
*et, la palme du «au secours» revient au service: certes elles (et ils?) sont jolies, magnifiques même, mais niveau accueil chaleureux, on repassera. On né vous calcule pas, M. et Mme toutlemonde, et on peut même vous faire poireauter jusqu’à 45min alors que vous aviez réservé…
Berk. bouh, coup de gueule. (mais j’ai qd même mis deux étoiles pour la moi de 20ans)

Soirée d’anniversaire au Costes. Hype et People, la réputation du Costes n’est plus à faire. J’ai été époustouflée par la beauté du décor, d’autant plus accentuée en soirée. Il est clair que c’est un restaurant à faire de nuit. La douceur rouge ombrée enveloppe cet endroit et lui confère une ambiance quasi magique. Cependant les prix aussi sont magiques, pour peu on y croirait pas.
Les plats quand à eux sont bons, présentés d’un simple chic, et vous né finirez pas le ventre trop lourd en fin de repas.
+: Décor sublime, un mélange de cosy-​chic, l’une des raisons majeur pour lesquels il faut au moins le tester. Les célébrités né sont pas forcement un tort au lieu, j’ai eu l’occassion de discuter avec l’acteur Jared Leto :)
—: Hum, le prix? Compter au moins 50 € par tête pour un plat/​dessert (sans vin bien entendu). Le personnel qui a pour reputation d’être «très beau» n’est pas toujours malheureusement «très efficace» ou encore «très disponible». A tester: les coquilles St. Jacques sont juste extras fondantes! Conseil: Pour être plus «tranquille» et mieux «servi», aller au Coste sur la place des invalides. La vue sur le monument de nuit y est spectaculaire.

Mais que vaut vraiment le Costes ?
La musique y est bien choisie avec une compilation entièrement dédiée au célèbre hôtel, l’atmosphère y est soignée et cosy.
Le restaurant vous accueillera au rez de chaussée, au niveau de la petite Cour intérieure très sympathique.
Les plats sont bien finis mais né justifient pas forcément les prix (Compter environ 30 euros pour des pennes aux langoustines).

Preis/​Leistung ist natürlich nicht gegeben in so einem In-​Laden. Man muss es mal gesehen haben. Die Hochnäsigkeit der Angestellten stört aber schon. Das Beste ist die Seife auf der Toilette — die riecht so lecker. :0)

goutez le boeuf tigre (je né me souviens plus du nom exact). ça fond dans la bouche, un vrai bonheur !
