Hotel Duminy Vendome

Location — Location — Location! I’ve stayed here twice and each time loved being able to head out and jog the Tuileries Gardens or see the Louvre and Eiffel Tower looming in front of me or take in all the shopping to be had at the Colette store around the corner! Not to mention a metro station is not even 5 minutes waking distance from the hotel. I was also impressed with the level of customer service — everyone goes above and beyond here to make your stay enjoyable and effortless. The rooms are small but I think that is pretty typical for hotels in Europe so no surprise there and you are only there to sleep, right? The amenities are nice and the rooms are clean and modernly design so that helps negate size. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, too. Fresh squeezed OJ, croissants, scrambled and boiled eggs, baked beans, cheeses and meats allow you to star your day off right. There is also a pub/​bar next door that stays open pretty late if you need late night fuel.

Nice hotel located in the heart of Paris. The room is a little small, but who goes to Paris and stays in their room all day? The louvre is a five minute walk away and the metro is right around the corner. They have free wifi, (you have to ask for the code) and a good breakfast buffet. If you don’t wake up in time for the buffet, you have the option of having breakfast delivered to your room. The items aren’t as extensive as what you would get at the buffet, but beggars can’t be choosers! Another cool thing about this hotel is that they have umbrellas for you to borrow if needed. I would stay here again if I ever have the chance to go back to Paris!
